Christians and the entire people of Bassa Local government have been urged to tread the footsteps of Jesus Christ so that peace can reign permanently in the area.

He called on them to tolerate one another despite ethnic and religious differences which, he said, should be a unifying factor for the accelerated development of the area.
Alumka called on the elites and the stakeholders from the area to come together for genuine reconciliation to move the area ahead.
According to the Administrator, “for any meaningful development to take place, peace and tranquility must be established as no any positive achievement can be recorded in a rancorous atmosphere”.
He maintained that unless “we go back to God to seek His forgiveness and practice legitimate ways of lively hood, development will continue to be far from the area”.
Hon. Alumka, who congratulated the Christians for the celebration of Christmas , used the occasion to mobolise fisherman and farmers from the area to redouble their efforts to increase their yields and income.
He therefore urged them to embark on prayers for a greater and peaceful Bassa LGA.
He also commended the electorate from the area for their support and unflinching loyalty to the Administration of Governor Yahaya Bello and thank them for their massive voting for APC and the candidates for all the elections, assuring them of reward from the ruling government.
