In a statement made available to newsmen on Thurstday in Lokoja, According to him, the appreciation came on the heels of benevolent gestures by some groups of people whose live had in one way or the other been touched by the philanthropic act of the lawmaker as at the time he was one of the senior executives in the banking sector and Executive Chairman, Kogi Internal Revenue Service (KIRS).
Oseni, Further stressed that instead of giving him multiple awards, such recognition should be given to the grassroots through the the provision of standard educational quality, access to better life, hence his task as a lawmaker is certainly to redefined representation better than it used to be, in terms of educational outreach and health empowerment schemes.
Sen. Oseni admonished the sponsors of payment of WAEC and JAMB registration fees for the less privileged and ongoing free holiday lesson across the five local government areas of Kogi Central, to always ensure they sustain the good gesture for the betterment of the society.
While urging others whom he had assisted in various sectors of the country to take a cue from the gesture, the lawmaker, however, emphasized that his constituency programme would be implemented with a more holistic approach to ensure total inclusion of all beneficiaries.
“Indeed, the organisers of the summer lesson and sponsors of the WAEC and JAMB registration have keyed into my burning desires to aid education acquisition at the grassroots. I cannot thank them enough.
“I have designed a more comprehensive and inclusive template for my educational outreach/empowerment across all the five local government areas which will enable us to carry more people along. Also, youths, women and elderly people in my constituency will not be left out of the gesture,” he added
