The Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Youth Empowerment Foundation (PAAYEF), is a Charity Foundation committed to the education and empowerment of the indigent child, youth and women. It is a Non-Governmental Organization which will partner with Schools, Hospitals, Motherless babies homes Clinics, Mosques, Churches, Government Ministries, Government Agencies and well meaning Nigerians and other NGOs, Charity foundations who wants to make positive impact in our country.
The Foundation through its educational outreach program, a project specifically designed to facilitate access to high-quality educational opportunities for children from several communities in Kogi State, Nigeria had paid WAEC fees for orphans and less privileged indigent students across Kogi Central and many from the other two senatorial districts last week and will be commencing the payment of tuition fees for less privileged higher institutions’ students, this week.
This Foundation provides educational experiences for young people in classrooms, libraries, after-school programs, qualification examinations, community-based etc., as well as supporting the professional development of the professionals and paraprofessionals who work with them.
The outreach program started few years ago due to a pervasive lack of education in the country, particularly among young orphans and the less privileged. Most had never been enrolled in school; others had dropped out after a few years to help support their families and spent their days begging on the streets. The Asuku4GYB sponsors their school tuition fees, provides uniforms, shoes, school supplies, and computer trainings.
Currently the foundation through it’s Asuku4GYB Education Outreach Program is currently in it’s 8th season of Education Outreach;
• Season 1: In the first Outreach program, it was the payment of WAEC and NECO fees across community secondary schools in Kogi Central.
• Season 2: The tuition fees for tertiary institutions’ students from Kogi Central was fully bankrolled by the Outreach Program to enable them have a hitch free academic session.
• Season 3: Free WAEC and NECO forms were bought and shared to students who could not afford them.
• Season 4: Free JAMB forms and registration for citizens of Kogi Central.
• Season 5: Three months free Computer training for over 150 youths from Kogi Central.
• Season 6: Payment of school fees for students in Tertiary institutions. In addition, the project research for those in Final year were fully funded by the Asuku4GYB Education Outreach Program.
• Season 7: Payment of WAEC and NECO fees for orphans and the less privileged in Kogi Central.
• Season 8: Payment of WAEC and NECO fees for orphans and the less privileged in Kogi Central and about to commence the payment of tuition fees for indigent students.
The goals of the Foundation are:
• Empower young people and women through programming and mobilization in areas of Health, Environment, Sports development, education, skills and secured livelihood.
• To provide ophans and less privileged with the resources they need to attend school, because we believe that no child should be precluded from going to school for lack of basic school supplies, a clean uniform or shoes.
• To provide students with the support they need to have successful academic careers, because we recognize that, in addition to material resources, a great deal of academic, emotional, community-based support is required for them to thrive.
• To provide our children with the tools they need to prove to society that they can excel and become leaders in community irrespective of caste, gender and economic background.
Qualities Representations: Toto Communities Commends Nasarawa Speaker, Hon Shafa For Changing the Narratives
The people of Toto local government area of Nasarawa State has through their leaders appealed to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule to consider the upgrading of Village Head Status and as well Political Appointments of their sons and daughters among other things.
Specifically, Kuru communities in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, have lauded Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Umaisha/Ugya constituency and Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa, member representing Toto/ Gadabuke constituency over their quality and effective representations.
Leader of the delegation Hon Adamu O. Musa, the Leader who deliver their message when he led members of the community on a courtesy visit to the speaker today in Lafia.
He said that the speaker’s purposeful leadership has not only improve on the standard of living of the people but has also promote unity and peace in the area.

Musa has appealed to Gov. Abdullahi Sule to upgrade the community village head status to district in order to give them a sense of belonging.
He has also solicited for political appointments to the sons and daughters of Kuru community to enable them contribute their quota to the development of the area and the state at large.
The community spokesperson has assured of their loyalty and support to the government policies and programmes at all times.
Responding, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, the speaker of the House has appreciated the community for the visit and assured them of all inclusive governance.
Balarabe Abdullahi, who was represented by Hon Usman Labaran Shafa ( APC- Toto/ Gadabuke) has assured the community of continued good representations.

The speaker has called on them and other people of the state to continue to support Gov. Sule’s administration beyond 2023 in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Hon Daniel Ogazi, member representing Kokona East Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, on Monday bagged the award of Best House Committee Chairman in the state House of Assembly from the Face of Democracy Nasarawa State Achievers Awards.
Ogazi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology while receiving the award today in Lafia has assured of his committee readiness to do more toward uplifting the standard of education in the state.
