Lagos NURTW Chairman, MC OLuomo Reacts To Okada And Tricycle Ban, Reveals Next Move

The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Lagos State, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has reacted to the ban on commercial motorcycles and tricycles, popularly called Okada and Keke Napep by the state government.

MC Oluomo disclosed on Monday that his team was meeting with the state government over the ban.

He disclosed that the meeting was aimed at prevailing on the state government to review the ban.

Recall that the Lagos State Government had placed a ban on the operation of commercial motorcycles and tricycles in some local government areas and local council development areas in the state.

The ban had taken effect from February 1st, 2020, and was disclosed in a statement by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotosho.

However, MC Oluomo who spoke to journalists through his aide, Jimoh Buhari stated that he was also meeting with bus drivers.

He explained that the meeting was to persuade them not to increase fares, which could worsen the effect of the ban on commuters.

“The most important thing, for now, is for the bus drivers not to take advantage of the situation, and that is why we are meeting with them,” he said.

His recent victory has been described as a commitment for the well being of ordinary Nigerians, whose slogan he stood strongly to propagate across the social and conventional Media outfits.

Kogites across the country and many Nigerians has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the social media contest, saying Comrade Usman Austin Okai has lived above board, in his campaign for a virile and egalitarian society.

They congratulated Mr Okai while urging him not to relent in his efforts to fight social disequilibrium amidst provocation and denials.

Mercy Johnson and Regina Daniels were very close Nollywood pals, their relationship was like that of mother and daughter, with Mercy Johnson mentoring the teenager when she first entered the industry.

According to reports, Mercy Johnson unfollowed the 19-year-old actress because she didn’t heed to her advice in regards to her marriage to a 59-year-old billionaire, Ned Nwoko who she went ahead to marry.

Mercy Johnson tried advising her not to rush into marriage yet as she was still young and needed to learn more about life.

It was learned that her opinion angered Regina as they ended up exchanging words and their relationship faltered.

Responding to this, Mercy Johnson replied by thanking her referring to her as a sweetheart and also asking for God’s blessing for her family.
