Buhari plans To Bring Prosperity To All Nigerians Before Handing Over In 2023

President Muhammadu Buhari has again reassured Nigerians home and abroad that his government is determined just like before to bring unparalleled infrastructural development to Nigeria.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces said amidst the challenges facing the nation, his priority will be to bring prosperity to all citizens.

He stressed that the infrastructural developments will not only be limited to the urban areas as he assured that those in the rural areas will also benefit from his administration.

“Our goal is simple, we will develop quality infrastructure that will bring prosperity to millions of Nigerians in both urban and rural areas”, President Buhari said.

With many Nigerians demanding for accelerated development in the power, health sector as well as the business sector, Buhari restated that his government will not relent on developing NIGERIA before his tenure ends in 2023.

Since assuming office, his administration has completed the Central Ogbia Regional Water Project, in Bayelsa, Sabke/Dutsi/Mashi Water Supply Project, (Katsina), Northern Ishan Regional Water Supply Project (Edo State), Kashimbila Dam (Taraba State), 2,000MW of additional power generation capacity by the end of 2018 amongst others

BREAKING: FG Obtains Fresh Order To Stop Planned Labour Strike

The Global Times Nigeria reports that the Federal Government has obtained a fresh order stopping the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress from embarking on their planned strike which is to start on Monday.

According to the reports, the restraining order was issued on Friday by Justice Ibrahim Galadima of the National Industrial Court in Abuja, following an ex parte application by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.

This came barely 24 hours after the same judge made a similar restraining ex parte order in favour of a group, Peace and Unity Ambassadors Association, on Thursday.

The duo of Acting Director of the Department Civil Litigation of the Federal Ministry of Justice, Mrs Maimuna Shiru, and Mr Tijjani Gazali, led the Federal Government’s team, who moved the ex parte application that was later granted by Justice Galadima on Friday.

The NLC and TUC had jointly declared to embark on a nationwide strike on Monday to press for the reversal of the recent hike in electricity tariff and petrol pump price.

Kogi Inferno: We Are Making Frantic Efforts To Avert Future Occurrence – KSG

With the sad development that erupted Felele area of Lokoja Local Government of the State, Kogi State Government lead by Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello is currently making frantic efforts to forestall future fire disaster in the state.

The State Security Adviser, Retired Commander Jerry Omodara has visited the Controller General, Federal Fire Service in Abuja on behalf of Governor Yahaya Bello to seek for possible ways of Collaboration.

The move is a conscious bid by the Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration to prevent the unfortunate fire incident that claimed tens of lives at Felele, Lokoja on Wednesday 23rd September, 2020.

Commander Omodara conveyed the message of the Governor at the meeting on the immediate need to deploy Fire Fighting Equipment to the major Federal Highways in Kogi, even as the State is making frantic efforts in getting some equipment because of the strategic location of the State.

He said government is also considering recruitment of Staff for the State Fire Service towards getting more manpower to combat fire disaster in the state.

The State Security Adviser appealed to the Federal Fire Service to deploy more fire fighting equipment to its State Command.

The Controller General, Dr Liman Ibrahim while responding, commiserated with the government of Kogi State and the family of the victims, and prayed God to grant the family fortitude to bear the loss.

He promised to swift into immediate action of getting back the fire truck to the State and also help in training of more firefighters for the State.
