“Mama’s Virtures A Legacy For Future Generations.” —Gov. Tambuwal condoles Bello.

Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, said the virtures of the late mother of Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a befitting legacy worthy of emulations By the Future generations.

Tabuwal was in Lokoja on Sunday to pay a condolence visit to Gov. Yahaya Bello over the demise of his mother, Hajia Hauwau Oziohu Bello, who passed on, March 15, at the age of 101.

Accordingly to the Chief Press Secretary to the Kogi State Governor, Onogwu Muhammed, the visiting governor Aminu Aminu Tambuwal conveyed the condolences of the people of Sokoto State to Gov. Bello and his entire family and the people of Kogi saying, “My dear brother, the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, I and the people of Sokoto State received with grieve the news of the passing on of our dear mother , Hajia Hauwau Bello about 8 days ago.

”I quite made effort to make it to Kogi State on behalf of the people of Sokoto State. I come here this evening with this modest delegation to convey our condolences to you.

”Your Mother lived well, having raised her offsprings to adulthood before departing, with you as the last born attaining your present position, while she was alive speaks volumes of her fulfillment in life.

”In her own case, she did not only lived to see you grow but to see you attaining your present position with the help of Almighty Allah. Mama lived a fulfilled life that was exemplary .

”So, we are here to condole you on behalf of the people of Sokoto state to commiserate with you over the loss of your beloved mother.

In his response, Governor Yahaya Bello, appreciated Gov. Tambuwal for the visit, saying he was glad to receive the Sokoto governor and his entourage.

According to Bello, aside politics, Gov. Tambuwal and the people of Tambuwal in Sokoto State are his in-law and on political ground, the Sokoto Governor was among the first set of persons to put a call to him in 2015, when he became Kogi governor, saying he shared valued ideas and opinions with him.

Governor Bello said his late mother was a very spirited figure, who lived and died as a devoted Muslim.

Bello thanked Governor Tambuwal and his entourage for finding time to travel down and commiserate with them.

Tambuwal was accompanied by Hon.Sulaiman usman (SAN), Attorney General of Sokoto State, Hon. Kakale balarabe, Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abu Audu member, House of Representatives and Hon. Mohammed Bargaja, member, House of Representatives, among others.

BREAKING: FG Obtains Fresh Order To Stop Planned Labour Strike

The Global Times Nigeria reports that the Federal Government has obtained a fresh order stopping the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress from embarking on their planned strike which is to start on Monday.

According to the reports, the restraining order was issued on Friday by Justice Ibrahim Galadima of the National Industrial Court in Abuja, following an ex parte application by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.

This came barely 24 hours after the same judge made a similar restraining ex parte order in favour of a group, Peace and Unity Ambassadors Association, on Thursday.

The duo of Acting Director of the Department Civil Litigation of the Federal Ministry of Justice, Mrs Maimuna Shiru, and Mr Tijjani Gazali, led the Federal Government’s team, who moved the ex parte application that was later granted by Justice Galadima on Friday.

The NLC and TUC had jointly declared to embark on a nationwide strike on Monday to press for the reversal of the recent hike in electricity tariff and petrol pump price.

Kogi Inferno: We Are Making Frantic Efforts To Avert Future Occurrence – KSG

With the sad development that erupted Felele area of Lokoja Local Government of the State, Kogi State Government lead by Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello is currently making frantic efforts to forestall future fire disaster in the state.

The State Security Adviser, Retired Commander Jerry Omodara has visited the Controller General, Federal Fire Service in Abuja on behalf of Governor Yahaya Bello to seek for possible ways of Collaboration.

The move is a conscious bid by the Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration to prevent the unfortunate fire incident that claimed tens of lives at Felele, Lokoja on Wednesday 23rd September, 2020.

Commander Omodara conveyed the message of the Governor at the meeting on the immediate need to deploy Fire Fighting Equipment to the major Federal Highways in Kogi, even as the State is making frantic efforts in getting some equipment because of the strategic location of the State.

He said government is also considering recruitment of Staff for the State Fire Service towards getting more manpower to combat fire disaster in the state.

The State Security Adviser appealed to the Federal Fire Service to deploy more fire fighting equipment to its State Command.

The Controller General, Dr Liman Ibrahim while responding, commiserated with the government of Kogi State and the family of the victims, and prayed God to grant the family fortitude to bear the loss.

He promised to swift into immediate action of getting back the fire truck to the State and also help in training of more firefighters for the State.
