COVID-19: Barr. Magaji Distributes Free Hand Sanitizers, Face Masks To Toto LG Communities

In his determination to curb the continue spread of the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic that has claimed thousands of souls all over the world from gaining access to his people at the grassroot, precisely Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, the award winning legal luminary Barr Labaran Magaji Shuaibu (Mattawele Toto) on Saturday donated some relieve material such as hand sanitizers, face Masks and others things as palliative package for his people to curb the COVID-19 menace.

Magaji, a leading counsel and member, Governing Council of Nasarawa State University Keffi, is always on ground in term of his people needs by making some timely provision that has direct bearing to his domain.

Barr. Magaji while presenting the items said his support was to compliments the government in its bid to end Covid19 in Toto, Nasarawa and Nigeria as a whole.

He was represented by his aide on Students Matters and who double as Senate President, NAUS, Comr. Ibrahim Lawal Dubagari, the items as as provided include Hand Sanitizer, Face Masks shared across three district in Toto LGC namely, Toto, Umaisha, Gadabuke respectively.

According to the statement, Barr labaran Magaji made the timely intervention act of his desire and love he has for his people and the proximity of Nasarawa State and Abuja.

He urge the residents of Toto LG to take precautionary measures in line with government directives as part of strategies to contained the ravage virus.

The items, were received and distributed by notable youths, group and women organizations in Toto LG and it is expected to be share among the three districts, that’s Toto, Gadabuke and Umaisha districts.

Appreciating the gesture, the Chairman Youth Council Toto LG Chapter, Mansur Musa loud Barr. Magaji’s initiative and his usual benevolence towards redeeming suffering of his people especially at this critical time.

Also present during the program was the Speaker Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Toto LG chapter, Comr. Adamu Omehi, described Barr labaran Magaji as a proactive leader whose love and care for his community is beyond imagination.

Former Governor Bello Aide on Students Matters.

The immediate past Senior Special Assistant on Students Matters to Governor Yahaya Bello, has joined his voice with that of other sympathisers to commiserate with the families of the students, Felele community who were killed during a Tanker explosion which occurred at early hours on Wednesday in Lokoja, the state capital.

Joshua in a statement he personally signed and made available to News men prayed for eternal rest of those that died in the incident and fortitude to bear the loss on part of their families as well as quick recovery for the injured.

Kogi Inferno: Gov Obaseki Condoles With Kogi Govt, People And Wish Them Fortitude To Bear The Loss

The newly returned Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has condoled with the government and people of Kogi State, over the tanker explosion which claimed many lives.

In the condolence message issued in Benin City, the state capital on Thursday, Obaseki said: “I condole with the government and people of Kogi State over the tanker explosion that claimed several lives.

“The explosion is an urgent reminder of the need to prioritize road and rail infrastructure development in Nigeria.”

The governor added: “Our hearts go out to families that lost persons and wish them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

Just In: Another Gas Explosion Hits Lagos

A gas explosion is currently rocking one area at Iju Ishaga, Lagos State.

According to reports gathered, many of the people who involved in the incident were injured.

The Punch reports that buildings around the scene of the explosion suffered a partial collapse. As of the time of filing this report, the details of the gas explosion were sketchy An eyewitness, Ikechukwu, said, “We just heard a loud sound around 03.30 pm and we suddenly began to see smoke.

The explosion is massive and we are not sure of the casualties but many people are injured.

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Agency, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident.
