As the country is battling to stem the spread of deadly Coronavirus also known as COVID-19, Alhaji Abubakar Adamu Toto, a philanthropist has taken the lead in given a facelifts of development to the people of Toto, Toto Local Government Area to compliments government efforts and to give back to the society inline with his cardinal principles of adding value and guarantee enabling environment for common man to thrive in.
Alhaji Adamu a former Chairmanship aspirant in Toto and critical stakeholder in Nasarawa State Project has use his good office to attract essential lives touching dividends such as block of classrooms, health facility and potable drinking water, cash of money worth thousands of naira as part of his support for his community in alleviating poverty and to stem COVID-19 pandemic.
The grassroot politician presently works with the Federal Ministry of Works, FCT, Abuja and had never been in an elected position or appointee of any successive government since the birth of democracy rather extend helping hands to both vulnerable and general populace.
According to him, high rate of Poverty, illiteracy and disease is alarming in the country and the only way to curb or reduce this above mentioned menace is to empower the society which are the major targets, adding that the essential needs will help thousands of people around the affected area.
“The people are struggling on daily basis to attain basic necessities of life for themselves and their families in order to improve their way of living standard but due to dwindling economic hardship been face by the poor its remain mirage to achieved all that.
This and more was the reason behind my action to assist the poor in improving their standard of living without expecting anything in return.
On their part, the community leader and elders commended his initiative urging him to keep up the good work, described him as true son of the soil whose services to his people will is well felt and will go along way.
The Chairman, National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN), Toto LG Chapters, Comr. Musa Mansur Bashir has join the people of Toto to laud the people’s oriented initiative of the politician. He stress the need for other to follow suit in doing so poverty, illiteracy and other menace will be a things of the past.
Nigeria @ 60: Kogi Speaker Charges Nigerians To Be Patriotic On Nation Building
The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole has congratulated Nigerians in general and Kogites in particular on the 60th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria as a Sovereign state and tasked Nigerians to be patriotic in building a nation that will can truly called our own
In a press statement signed and released by Chief Press Secretary, Femi Olugbemi, said the Speaker commended the efforts of the founding fathers, urged those in positions of authority to endeavour to build on the solid foundation to work in unity and have love for the nation for the country to take its rightful position among the comity of nations.
He emphasized on the need for Nigerians to truly defend the unity and uphold the sanctity of the nation in line with their pledge of allegiance to the country by being patriotic in all their dealings.
He appealed to Nigerians to keep hope alive despite the numerous challenges that are confronting the nation at the moment especially in the area of security, infrastructure deficit and the current global pandemic of coronavirus, stressing that, with unity of purpose those challenges will be overcome.
Speaker Kolawole enjoined the younger generation who are the leaders of tomorrow to shun every negative tendencies and cultivate virtues of patriotism, commitment and dedication in serving the country diligently.
He congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello, for their purposeful leadership at improving the living standards of Nigerians despite numerous challenges facing the nation.
He noted that despite the dwindling resources occasioned by the fall of the nation major sources of revenue, coupled with outbreak of coronavirus early this year the administrations at both the national and state still have some credit in the area of Education, health, security, infrastructures like the rail, roads and many transformation in critical sectors of the nation economy.
The Speaker assured that the 7th Assembly of the Kogi State House of Assembly would continue to work in collaboration with other arms of government for the common good of the state and advised citizens to remain steadfast and courageous to overcome adversity as a People.
He called on all and sundry to continue to support the current administrations at both the national and state level as that is the only way we can encourage to be steadfast in providing good leadership.

Nigeria At 60: Gov Obaseki Salutes Edo Citizens, Nigerians
As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of our great nation Nigeria, I salute all Edo citizens and Nigerians, who have continued to work towards actualizing the vision of a truly great and prosperous country.
I also rejoice with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, on this auspicious occasion.
Despite our travails and challenges as a country, we give thanks to Almighty God for preserving us as a people and ensuring that the labour of our heroes past has not been in vain.
The just concluded governorship poll in Edo State is evidence of the commitment of the government and people to the deepening of our democracy, which invariably is the instrument for the upliftment of our people and improving our collective wellbeing.
We are conscious of the daunting task of charting the course of our collective destiny, and the personal and collective sacrifices required, but remain committed to upholding the unity of our country and striving together to attain assured greatness.
We are confident that after 60 years of nationhood and having surmounted numerous obstacles and uncertainties, our faith in the future of our country remain unwavering, as we continue to forge ahead as one indivisible and prosperous nation.

Nigeria At 60: Ortom Tasks Countrymen On Equity, Patriotism
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom urges Nigerians to uphold the virtues of sincerity, justice and fairness while rejecting impunity, to enable the country realize its full potential as a prosperous nation and the true giant of Africa.
The Governor also admonishes Nigerians to sustain their faith in the unity and capacity of the country to overcome the current security and economic challenges.
He says what the nation needs at this time are men and women of honour and integrity who can stand for the rule of law and promote the values as well as the dream of the nation’s founding fathers.
The Governor states that the grace of Almighty God has guided Nigeria out of challenges and threats to its corporate existence, and expresses optimism that the same God will continue to steer the ship of the country away from doom.
He states that only sustained synergy between the Federal Government and states, as well as other stakeholders can lead to victory against terrorism and other criminal acts in parts of the country.
The Governor reaffirms the commitment of the Benue State Government to addressing development challenges of the state by making the agriculture value chain a priority so as to engage young people in productive ventures.
He thanks Benue people for the support given to his administration in the last five years and pledges to reciprocate the goodwill with impressive performance as he is already doing.
Governor Ortom says his administration will sustain the tempo of providing development projects in all parts of the state.
He points out the domestication of the Pensions Law last year and the recent signing of the Health Insurance Scheme which gave rise to the establishment of the State Health Insurance Agency as some of the polices put in place by his administration to positively impact on the lives of the people.
