Following the sacked of the former Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, SSG, for mismanaging 1 Billion naira school projects, Alhaji Aliyu Tijani Ahmed.
A Coalition of Toto Local Government Youths comprises of all the ethnic groups on Tuesday urged Governor Abdullahi A Sule to include more youth in his cabinet as promised during his 2019 electionerring campaign.
The group made their position known in a statement signed by its leaders Mallam Abubakar Sadiq and Mr. Bulus Madaki Chairman and Secretary respectively.
The Governor had on Monday approved the relieve of the former SSG following a resolution of the state house of Assembly urging the Governor to sacked the former SSG over his indictment into the school projects fraud.
The group said the people of Toto LG have worked so hard to ensure the emergence of Governor Abdullahi A Sule before, during election and will continue to accord all necessary support to his administration.
”We are watching as the process unfold whether the Governor will remember the promise he made during the campaign where he said Toto LG will benefits from his administration. The group said it hoped a leader like Hon. Mohammed Garba Isimbabi will emerge as SSG for Nasarawa State.
It added that anything short of this will be ”rejected by the youths of the area”.
The group also draw the attention of the Governor to series of problems ranging from Banditry attacks, criminality, lack of social Amenities like electricity, banking facility, health system and high institution of learning should urgently be visited.
The group also appeal to the Governor to look into their roads that is a death trap from Abaji-Ukya-Toto to Nasarawa-Keffi roads respectively.
Recalled that Toto LG was the second highest produced election results for Governor Abdullahi A Sule after Lafia the State capital that came first.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has been commended for his effort towards contributing immensely to the development of the State in areas of health, security, agriculture, education, empowerment and human capital development among others things.
A member of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State chapter, Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale, made the commendation when he led his team on advocacy visit to the eastern part of the State to deliver the message of hope which is the call for the Governor to join the 2023 Presidential race.
Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale who was earlier in Ankpa and Olamaboro LGAs expressed satisfaction with the responses and large turn out of people who came out to received him, described the outing as historic and true love the people of Kogi and particularly the Igala race has for the Governor.
At Olamaboro LG he was received by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Adejo Pexy and council officials where they had a painstaking discussion at the council Secretariat Okpo, Administrative headquarter.
While in the area the youth leader held series of meetings with the youth, elders and women and distributed campaign materials as part of his support for the national project for Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello’s Presidency.
He proceeded to Ankpa LG where he was received and usher in by the council Secretary at the LG secretariat.
He said he was in the area to seek their support and to persuade the youth friendly Governor to accept the ongoing clarion call to run for Presidency in 2023.
He also held meetings with some groups in Ankpa LG with hundreds of youths, women and elders in attendance.
Highlight of the event was presentation of campaign items for Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello Presidency in 2023.
Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale is the Welfare Director with NYCN and aspiring to succeed Comrade Alonge as the next Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter and he has since unveil his agenda.
His visit to the eastern region was described as a welcome development notably his advocacy is center on projecting the image of the Governor.
He is expected to tour round the remaining 7 LGAs in the Eastern flank of the State before next week.
“There Is Something We All Can Contribute Towards Making Our Society A Better Place” – Chief Abdullahi Ada
The Chairman, Lokoja Chapter of a Non-Governmental Organization know as Amalgamated Progressive Group APG, Chief Ibrahim Abdullahi Ada, says the development of the society should not left to political office holders alone.
Chief Abdullahi Ada stated this in an interview with Newsmen in Lokoja, The state capital.
Chief Ada, who pointed out that the society has been in existence before the era of political positions noted that there was need for all and sundry to contribute their quota to the development of the society.
He said political office holders cannot meet the one hundred percent needs of every society, stressing that well-to-do individuals, Groups and Associations should rise and impact the society positively.
“leaving the scene for only the political office holders alone is not good enough because the society is not just for the politically inclined. We have great entrepreneurs, educationists, engineers, artisans among others that are doing very well in their various spheres of life so, these people too needs to give back to the society. You may not really have the resources but you can contribute your ideas. There is something everybody can contribute to the development of the society we all find ourselves. If the society is developed, peaceful, progressing, it’s for the good of all”
The Chairman noted that at the End of the Year Party and Launch of a Maiden Almanac of APG scheduled for the 10th of December 2020, at NIWA Staff Canten, near INEC Office Lokoja Kogi State by 2pm, the Group will Award individuals who have contributed towards ensuring the growth of the society in various ways.
“We have several indigenes and non indigenes of Lokoja that have one way or another contributed to our society. Some of them employed our youths in their companies. Youths that would have probably taken to social vices but since they’ve been positively engaged, they don’t have time for such again. This is what we are talking about, rendering service to humanity. We are going to Award 10 of such persons for now, as a sign to appreciate them for their efforts and as well encourage them to do more”
Chief Ada expressed optimism that the Group will not rest on it’s oars at helping one another and enjoined members to remain committed towards realizing the aims and objectives of the noble Group.
“At this point, I want to appreciate members of Amalgamated Progressive Group for their relentless efforts so far. Thanks for your support and contribution that has brought us to the level we are today.
Things can always get better. I encourage us to remain steadfast so that we can work collectively to achieve the aims and objectives of APG”
Barr. Tanko Lauds Ohimegye Igu Over Equitable Distribution of Socio-Economic Amenities In Ozi Community.

In a bid to maintain harmonious coexistence among his subjects, the Ohimegye Igu, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto on Friday, resolved a long standing disagreement among the residents of Ozi which was occasioned by social and economic deprivation of some bonafide members of the community.
The paramount ruler who invited the disputants and relevant stakeholders to his palace for amicable resolutions on the contentious matters of social and economic activities, prevailed on all parties to agree on reasonable sharing formula in the interest of peace and progress.
He counselled against cornering common wealth to cause disunity and turning brothers in Ozi community against each other.
In his remarks, Senior Special Assistant on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to the Governor, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa commended the Ohimegye for his royal wisdom as shown in his fatherly ruling on such crucial matter that affects the lives and properties of the people.
Barr. who is Danmasani a traditional tittle in Kotonkarfe stated further that the fatherly role the Ohimegye played will go a long way in entrenching peace and harmony among the people of Ozi and should be emulated by other communities.
Similarly, the Danmasani Koton-Karfe and Head of the peace committee on Lakwo land submitted an Interim Report on the dispute between Onzo and Osuku communities to the Ohimegye.
It will be recalled that following disagrees between the Onzo and Osuku communities over farmlands, the Ohimegye Igu, Alhaji AbdulRazak Sani Isa-Koto, assigned one of his traditional tittle holders, the Danmasani to preside over a committee to promptly wade into the matter for amicable resolution.
The interim report though not read out, is said to has dwelt on the achievement of the much needed peace and agreement to negotiate on the disputed lands.
Barr.Tanko, while submitting the interim report, urged the Ohimegye as the father to all sons and daughters of Kogi LGA not to allow some selfish elements to divert his attention from the course of justice he has already taken, stressing that he has every right to pass Judgement that will keep his people under the peaceful atmosphere.
In his remarks, the former member Kogi state House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Tanko Abdulrahman Ozi, who represented Kogi/Koto constituency, lauded Ohimegye Igu on the ruling and described his benevolence to his people as gift from the Almighty God. He added that the royal ruling passed by paramount ruler is a testimony of the originality of his true personality, and prayed God to sustain His Royal Majesty to witness more years on the throne.
His Royal Majesty, Ohimegye in his ruling advised the people of his Kingdom, to always show kindness towards others, their family and the entire Kogi LG. He noted that there will be no development in a rancorous society and therefore sue for peace, unity, and love for one another.
The Monarch frowned at the attitude of those illegally claiming ownership of community land at detriment of others urging them to desist that such attitude will breed underdevelopment.
He thanked the former Administrator for presenting him with an Interim Report on Lakwo Land urging him to keep up doing the good job for his people. He further reassured him of his continued support.
