Victor Osimhen much reported transfer from Lille to Napoli has been confirmed on Friday.
The player signed five years contract with Gennaro Gattuso’s team and he’s expected to help the club challenge for the title next season.
However the Italian side didn’t get the player for cheap as they broke the Nigerian and possibly African record to land him.
L’Equipe, AFP Sports and Manu Lonjon reported that the 21 year old joined for €81m, €70m to be paid up front plus goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis, and additional performance-related bonuses.
Osimhen will also earn whopping 30 million Euros for the duration of the deal, that’s €5m net per season, which could also rise to €5.5m by the final year.
Osimhen is also entitled to additional loyalty bonus from Lille for his services at the club.
He has been offered number nine jersey by the club and scored he has settled for it, because his favorite number seven number is currently with Jose Callejon.
