The Uncongratulatory Message Of Engr. Musa Wada

The PDP candidate in the 2019 Kogi State governorship election, Engineer Musa Wada has “congratulated” Governor Yahaya Bello on his Supreme Court victory. The purported congratulatory message is not only mischievous but made in a bad faith and “uncongratulatory” in every sense of it. It is wantonly unsavory.

The keenly contested election and painstakingly conducted electoral trial established that Mr. Wada is no match for Governor Bello; as the former loss convincingly on both sides. It is however amusing that Mr. Wada suddenly found his tongue to purportedly “congratulate” the Governor after 10 days of losing at the Supreme Court and after about 268 days of his defeat at the poll.

One would have ignored such a mischievous laden “congratulatory message” but to forestall the idea that “Qui tacet consentit”; that is, silence gives consent. It is a disservice to the generation to come if we are silence on the needless issues he raised in that message; for they might take it as giving a consent or agreement to it.

You will also not miss Mr. Wada’s attempt to incite ethnic divisions, public disaffections, misinformation and disdain, all against the person of Governor Bello and sensitivity of the good people of Kogi State. One of such nefarious allegations is how people are dying in Kogi State and how the Government of the day has become a catastrophe. This is all in an attempt to sound like a Hobbesian and to let us know that he has started reading the work of Thomas Hobbes on the state of nature. No matter hard the winning of Governor Bello hit him, he should be reminded that political campaign is gone and there is nothing to contest again.

The ultimate focus of the government right now, which should be the concern of every progressive minded individual is to see the State progresses and the good people of Kogi State harvest the abundance of the dividend of democracy. This is now about governance, not politics. This is about peaceful coexistence, not divisiveness. This is about dealing with the reality on ground, not chasing shadows. This is about giving a laser like focus to governance, not pedestal distraction. This is about having the Kogi Sate of our dream and this is what Governor Yahaya Bello has set out to accomplish.

“FEEDING FROM DUSTBIN COMMENT BY DEJI ADEYANJU: AN INSULT TO THE DIGNITY OF CIVIL SERVANTS IN KOGI STATE, NOT THE GOVERNOR” – ACT

PRESS RELEASE
17-05-2021

Afenifere for Collective Transformation ACT, led by the Director General, Prince Tolu Ajayi uses this medium to commend Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on his recent interview on Channels Television.

The interview further exposed the undoubted capacity of the Governor to rule the Country.

The Governor’s responses to questions was with highest degree of intelligence, showing clearly that Governor Bello is not only aware of issues in the Country but also have practical solutions to all.

These confirmed the simple reason our movement is solidly rooting for Governor Yahaya Bello for 2023 presidency.

Our attention has been drawn to a comment published online by a self acclaimed right activist, Deji Adeyanju, a co-coverner of Concerned Nigerian Advocacy Group, who claimed that Governor Yahaya Bello can’t rule even a pig farm.

READ:  2021: A New Year For Nigerians To Calm Down, Stop Wailing - Femi Adesina

He remarked that the civil servants in Kogi State are feeding from dustbin.

What an inhumane comment on people working and earning their legitimate income to provide for themselves and their families!

This is a huge insult to many households living comfortably from their earnings as civil servants in the State and such coming from a young man is highly regrettable.

Deji Adeyanju has forgotten that Gov. Bello is a Governor in Nigeria who won people’s vote to be in power, meaning that he has no business ruling a pig farm in the first place.

If a so-called right activist who have been involved in many compromising situations including using the same activism with Charley Boy to negotiate the then federal government to the tune of a hundred million naira all in the name of Our Mumu Don Do, then he lacks the moral ground to make such comments on the Governor.

READ:  Ignore A Petty Rabble Rouser.

Since Deji Adeyanju has been parading himself as an activist, why has he not taken up even a councillorship ticket just to display his competence in governance?

We implore him to go back to his local government of origin and contest for local government chairmanship position and see if his own people can trust him with their local government resources to manage.

He has shown to be a bad influence on the young generation and displayed a high level of uncultured and irresponsible young man.

He remains a bad representative of who a young man should be.

We are using the opportunity of this press release to call on civil servants in Kogi State to fight for their dignity in labor with the understanding that the comment by Deji Adeyanju that they are feeding from the dustbin is not in any way an insult to the Governor but a direct insult on their personalities and persons.

From our investigation, the only time civil servants in Kogi State were owe salaries was during the time of verification shortly after the Governor came into power which exposed thousands of ghost workers.

Workers in the State have since then being paid promptly as and when due in which no legitimate worker in the State is being owe a kobo today.

To us, we believe is the position of things in Kogi State today except if the civil servants themselves can come out to say otherwise.

We therefore call on Governor Yahaya Bello not to feel bordered and concern by the rant of a visibly frustrated hungry activist looking everywhere possible to gain cheap attention that could butter his bread.

We believe he’s not a factor in this presidential journey and so deserves no attention.

YOUTHS MUST NOT BE THEIR OWN PROBLEM: A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO KOGI AND NIGERIAN YOUTHS IN GENERAL

By: Prince Tolu Ajayi

Just like the saying that a prophet may not be appreciated in his home of origin. This was what happened to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) whom was rejected by the people of Mecca until Allah commanded him to migrate (Hijrah) to Medina and was welcomed with warm ovation.

The same scenario was what played out in the life of Prophet Isa (Jesus) which led to His rejection and crucifixion. Nearly all prophets mentioned in the Holy Books (Qur’an and Bible) faced the same fate especially from their own people whom would have been expected to be their pilar of support but turned out to be their worst enemies.

Anyone sent on divine and ordained missions by the Almighty should naturally expect to experience this. This is just the true picture and reflection of the present situation regarding the coming of Governor Yahaya Bello as President come 2023.

In recent time, one would wonder if it’s only Governor Yahaya Bello that is in the Country considering the level of appreciation and acceptance coming from international bodies, celebrating the giant achievements and successes of the Governor. Hardly will a couple of weeks passes by without a news of Governor Yahaya Bello conferred with an Award or honour mostly from international communities based on his strategic and deliberate security consciousness which makes Kogi State the most secured and peaceful States in the Country despite being surrounded by many troubled States.

Among other States in the Country, Kogi has continued to experience inflow of foreign investors which in turn continue to add value to the economic and social wellbeing of the State. The State of infrastructural growth and development in Kogi State is exceptional and the State of women and youth engagement and empowerment is second to none, reason why there is hardly a case of violence and restlessness in the State.

All these and more are reasons why Kogi State has never been in the news for the wrong reason, courtesy of the visionary and exemplary leadership of the god-fearing and people oriented leader, Governor Yahaya Bello.

Despite the many good things people outside Kogi State and Nigeria are saying about Governor Yahaya Bello, it’s surprising that some from his State are not appreciating this their God-given blessing to the world. It is obvious that some people from Kogi State only concentrate on few negatives, forgetting that only Almighty Allah is perfect.

The good thing about whatever anyone might see or say negatively about Governor Yahaya Bello is that leadership is a learning process and Governor Yahaya Bello, haven gone through the process, is most qualified for the 2023 Presidency seat considering the experiences, knowledge and skills acquired so far as not just a Governor but a working and performing one.

The good thing is that Governor Yahaya Bello has passed through the stage of trial and error but now in the stage of perfection in governance.

I hereby use this medium to call on the good people of Kogi State especially the youths and Nigerians at large to take ownership of Governor Yahaya Bello and not miss this opportunity in 2023.

In Governor Yahaya Bello lies a new Nigeria everyone is craving for. To the young generation, it should be our pride that Governor Yahaya Bello belongs to our generation.

Long Live Governor Yahaya Bello,

Long Live Nigeria.

“YOUTHS OWN THE POWER” – Afenifere for Collective Transformation ACT

We own the power to identify and go for what we want. As the category of citizens with the highest population, we own the power to determine who is elected as President in Nigeria.

We own the power to mobilise voters across the Country for a candidate of our choice. We own the power to determine the prosperity of our generation and generations behind us.

We own the power to intellectually change the narrative of our Country as being done in Kogi State today.

We own the power to harmonise our resources together to synergize and coordinate campaigns for our only candidate, Governor Yahaya Bello which we have been doing and readily prepared to do more.

READ:  Sustainable Development: Engineer Sule And Toga Of ‘Private Sector Governor’

Above all, we own the power to install Governor Yahaya Bello as President come 2023.

It is important for Nigerians, especially the youths to realise that the opportunity is here for us to liberate ourselves from political bondage and slavery which the old generation has put us.

The time is now to send our grandfathers to compulsory retirement politically and allow them watch us grow and develop Nigeria from where they stopped.

They have given Nigeria their best in their youthful and young age and it’s best they allow us do the same before the next generation overthrow us.

Life is a phase, the phase of maximum productivity is between the ages of 18 and 45years which many of us are presently while above 50 years are to sit back and play the roles of mentor, advisers and role model.

READ:  Ignore A Petty Rabble Rouser.

Afenifere For Collective Transformation (ACT) is calling on Nigerian youths not to miss this opportunity of Governor Yahaya Bello becoming President come 2023.

We must realise and make it a duty to own the President Yahaya Bello mandate. It is not a fight for Governor Yahaya Bello but an opportunity for us to use him as our ladder to the top politically.

Going from the South to the North, no other youth and young Nigerian is well positioned to claim this presidency other than Governor Yahaya Bello.

He belongs to the ruling party which will obviously win the election.

He comes from the North Central that has never produced a President since 1999.

READ:  Between Market Dominance And Sugar Crisis In Nigeria

He’s a sitting Governor whose performance supercedes many of his contemporaries across the Country.

Finally, a god-fearing man who is people oriented and truthful to all, especially when he could play politics and collect money from the claim of Covid-19 but decided to stand by the people.

These are the qualities in the young Nigerian that Afenifere for Collective Transformation is advocating for as President come 2023.

As we look forward to seeing 23rd of May, 2021, Afenifere for Collective Transformation call on all Nigerian youths to own this mandate, Theme: YOUTHS OWN THE POWER must begin to reflect across the Country and be our collective slogan going into 2023 Presidential election.

Signed,

Prince Tolu Ajayi,
DG, ACT 4 PYB
