Chief Akawu Thanks Gov Bello, Politicians, Traditional Rulers And All Those Who Grace His Daughter’s Wedding

A former State lawmaker, Commissioner, now Board Chairman Rubber Research Institute, Benin and member of board in the UBEB, Abuja, Hon. Chief Saidu Akawu Salihu has acknowledge and put into consideration the presence of Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and all those who grace his Daughter’s wedding Fatiha at Odaki, Koton-Karfe, Kogi Local Government Area of the State.

“On behalf of my family, I thank you all for sharing in our moment of joy last Saturday in my country home Koton karfe during the wedding of our daughter, Mallama Amina Salihu. Especially our amiable Governor of Kogi state, Alh Yahaya Bello, former Speaker, Rt.Hon Abdullahi Bello, Rt.Hon Momoh Jimoh and my other colleagues of 2011-2015 Kogi House Assembly  Members. My Lordships Hon. Justice Umar Etsu, Hon Justice Zubyr Salihu. My fellow Board members and management at  Rubber Research Institute Benin and other colleagues from UBEB Abuja.

I am also grateful to my political compatriots across party lines. The Ulamas and committee of Imams. Elders of our community, youths, brothers, sisters and relatives.

My classmates of Government Secondary School Koton-Karfe, SPS Keffi and ABU Zaria. For those who could not come but sent their apologies and goodwill I appreciate you all.

Before, I conclude let me specially state that the visit of the Governor and his role of handing bride to the groom’s family was in indeed an extraordinary honour to us as a family and to Igu Koton-karfe community as a whole.

May Allah continue to bless, protect and strengthen your Excellency. Almighty Allah grant you all your inner most heart desires. We are grateful and thankful for your Love support”. He said.

Global Times Nigeria had earlier reported that the wedding ceremony had witness hundreds of guests of highly personality across the country.

Hoodlums Invade Abuja Warehouses, Loot Food Items In Presence Of Security

Global Times Nigeria reports that hundreds of hoodlums, on Sunday, invaded the Idu Industrial Layout in Abuja, raiding several warehouses.

A source who confirmed the development said the hoodlums made away with bags of rice, cartons of tin tomatoes, cereals, milk, bails of Ankara materials, and other items.

It was observed that despite the presence of policemen, the defiant mob continued to plunder warehouses.

The hoodlums were seen loading tricycles and motorcycles with the stolen goods as policemen fired teargas.

Palliatives Discovered In Warehouses Across The Nation Evidence President Buhari Isn’t Nigeria’s Problem — Buhari’s Daughter, Zahra Indimi

Zahra Buhari Indimi, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari had on late Saturday reposted a short note on Instastories, saying the discovery of food items and other COVID-19 palliatives in several warehouses across the country is evidence that her father is not Nigeria’s problem.

“Now that people confirmed that Buhari distributed enough palliatives nationwide, it is clear Buhari is not our problem,” she wrote.

It is reported across the nation that angry youths have been plundering warehouses in Lagos, Plateau, Osun, Kogi, Kaduna, Ekiti, and Kwara in the wake of the #EndSARS protests to discover some COVID-19 palliatives still undistributed.

In some instances, COVID-19 palliatives donated by the private sector-led Coalition Against COVID-19 were found in private homes of politicians.

Some of the items include cartons of noodles, sacks of garri, and bags of rice, some of which had gone bad due to poor and prolonged storage.

In Osun State, the government said it was waiting for officials from Abuja to “commission” the goods hence the delay in distributing them while in Lagos, the Majority Leader of the House of Assembly Sanai Agunbiade said he kept the palliatives in his Ikorodu home because he wanted to distribute them on his birthday.

In Kogi State, the Governor has order for Immediate distribution of items to the most vulnerable people across the State.

Several high-profile individuals such as Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola and Tony Elumelu had donated billions of naira in cash and food items to assist federal and state governments in helping vulnerable families amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

KDSG Imposes Curfew In Parts Of Chikun, Kaduna South LGAs

The Kaduna State Government has declared 24 hour curfew in some communities in Kaduna South and Chikun Local Government areas, effective immediately.

In a statement on Saturday signed and issue by Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, said the areas are Barnawa, Kakuri, and Television in Kaduna South Local Government Area and Maraban Rido, Sabon Tasha, Narayi and Ungwan Romi of Chikun Local Government Area.

Security agencies have been directed to arrest and prosecute any found violating the curfew and those responsible for breakdown of law and order. Security agencies have further been directed to effect the arrest and prosecution of anyone found looting and destroying properties.

KDSG strongly condemns the concerted incitement being done on social media. The government appeals to all our communities to reject incitement and resist the attempt to create chaos and anarchy.
