Again, Governor Sule Makes Case For CPC, Nasarawa To Emerge As Next APC National Chairman, Wadada Donates 5 Vehicles To The Party Chairmen
Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has again appealed to the hierarchy of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to consider the CPC and Nasarawa State, in the choice of the party’s next national chairman.
Engineer Sule made the appeal during a grand reception in honour of decampees from the PDP, APGA, ZLP and prominent sons and daughters of Mada Nation from the Western Senatorial zone, in Keffi, on Saturday.
The Governor specifically called on the national leadership of the APC to consider the CPC, being the only legacy party that is yet to produce the national chairman of the party.
Engineer Sule equally appealed to the party leaders to consider Nasarawa State because it was the only state that provided the CPC a platform leading to the merger in 2013 that gave birth to the APC.
“Two of the legacy parties, ACN and ANPP each produced two national chairmen of the APC. The only legacy party that is yet to produce the national chairman is the CPC,” he stated.
According to the Governor, once the CPC is allowed to produce the next chairman of the APC during its forthcoming national convention, it’s only fair to consider Nasarawa State.
Engineer Sule emphasized that the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura, played a critical role leading the then CPC into the merger which brought about the APC.
Speaking on the event, the Governor welcomed the decampees into the fold of the ruling party, reiterating his determination to carry everyone along.
He explained that the reason why members and supporters of opposition parties in the state are trooping to the APC may not be unconnected with the fact that, there is unity and togetherness within the ruling party, which is bringing much desired development to the state.
Engineer Sule promised to be fair and just to all, irrespective of the time of joining the APC.
The Governor used the opportunity of the rally to show appreciation to Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, for purchasing five vehicles to be distributed to the party chairmen in Keffi, Nasarawa, Kokona, Toto and Karu local government areas.
Engineer Sule also appreciated the first executive governor of the state, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, for organizing the reception ceremony.
In a goodwill message, Senator Adamu, assured the decampees of fair treatment while also reiterating the decision of the western zone to support the second term bid of the incumbent governor.
He commended Engineer Sule for his people oriented leadership, transparency and good governance, which is translating into much needed development.
On his part, Hon Wadada likened the mass exodus of members of the opposition to the APC to the biblical exodus from Egypt to the Promised Land, with members of the opposition rushing to join the ruling party because of the inclusiveness being demonstrated by Engineer Sule.
Hon Wadada announced a donation of five vehicles to be distributed to the party chairmen across the zone.
Earlier, Nasarawa West Zonal Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Iyal Aliyu Hassan, said the decampees, which include a former speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Ahmed Mohammed, former assembly members, former commissioners, as well as thousands of their supporters, were attracted to the ruling party because of the exemplary leadership being provided by the Governor.
Others that decamped to the APC include Hon. Muhammad Baba Ibaku, Hon. Adagoje Madaki and a former commissioner, Alhaji Ahmed Bala Tafida.
2023: Wadada Speaks On What He Will Do To Enhance Quality Education
Musa Jameel Toto.
Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has said he would improve on the socioeconomic, quality representation and education if given the mandate to serve the good people of Nasarawa West Senatorial District.
According to Wadada, education is an important medium for acquiring essential knowledge and skills. It is more than just learning from books. It is an effort of the older generation to transfer their life wisdom to their offspring. Our world is constantly changing and developing so it is very important to teach and bring up intelligent people who could understand the problems of modern society and solve them in a proper way. It is said that education is not preparation for life; education is life itself. So, why is it extremely important to get a proper education?
Education plays a vital role in shaping successful people. It gives us the opportunity to become a productive member of a civilized society by acquiring all the necessary skills. We learn how to meet challenges and overcome obstacles. We learn how to become an integrated personality and maintain the perpetuation of our culture. People learn basic norms, rules, regulations, and values of society through education. Moreover, high-quality education enables us to lead a successful life, enhances our intelligence, skills, knowledge, and brings positive changes in our life. In this clime, Nasarawa west senatorial district won’t be left behind among the educated generations.
Hon Aliyu Wadada investment in knowledge will speak for us and we will continue to take the lead if he assume the national assembly. When we sneeze, others will catch a cold.
Education lays the foundation stone for our future. An illiterate person can find it very difficult to cope with some aspects of life. Education expands our vision and creates awareness. It helps us develop a disciplined life and provides us with better-earning opportunities. It enables us to know the world beyond our own surroundings. Education is also a prerequisite of the prosperity and modernization of any senatorial district.
Modern education is liberal, open, and exoteric. It is the premise of progress, in every family and in every society. It teaches people to reason. It is based on humanism, freedom, equality, democracy, and human rights. The content of education keeps pace with the needs of modern society and is a mirror of its goals, values, and priorities. The present industrial society has opened up a plenty of occupations which require people with specialized skills and knowledge. So, education is a necessary means of eradicating the unemployment problem. It is able to reduce poverty in a number of ways. But we have to remember that there is a great need for the growth of vocational education so that every person could pursue a fulfilling career that ensures a satisfied life
Society can survive only if there exists among its members a sufficient degree of homogeneity, People of high integrity, moral values, respect for humanity over religious bigotry, ethnic solidarity etc.
What Hon Aliyu Wadada will do differently
1. Our younger generation will be able to freely access primary and basic education.
