If we must stand tall it is because we stand on the backs of those who came before us-Old African Proverb.

‘To the biologist, hate is a passion that is of equal interest to love’
The line between love and hate is often described as painfully thin.

Love and Hate are extreme emotions towards someone or something it’s a mirror image, and you know what? One can easily convert into another given a certain change of conditions.

Former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole

Nobody can relate, the life of a politician, God is not a man.

I love politics and politicians, in Nigeria, this might not be cool to say considering the bad narrative that ‘all politicians suck.’
But be that as it may, there are lots of politicians that have worked hard to make our society work.

You see if you must be fully partisan in politics be exacted to fight in murky waters and as expected in any Royal Rumble one victor must emerge with the loser left to drown in the same murky waters.

First of all, I would sincerely say I do not pity Adams Oshiomhole and his current ordeal, it is not yet over till it’s all over.

A post-mortem of Edo elections has revealed so many things that would make an aspiring politician draw valuable lessons from.

Aside from the laxity on the part of some APC leaders and the overconfidence exhibited by its members during the last Gubernatorial election, there was a well-orchestrated plan to completely demystify and derogate Adams Oshiomhole which ultimately affected the outcome of the September 19th election.

The once loved and amiable people’s representative became a villain INSTANTA , kudos to a well-ochestrated propaganda of calumny.

Oshiomhole was crucified well ahead of time and when the time came for the masquerade to come out and dance it was too late as it turned out to be a dance of SHAME.

To say Adams Oshiomhole was humiliated is an understatement.

If we must stand tall it is because we stand on the backs of those who came before us, I recall how we campaigned for Godwin Obaseki in 2016 on the mantra of Adams Oshiomhole is finishing well.

For three years Dennis Osadebe avenue was a Ghost House with virtually nothing going on in terms of human capacity building and empowerment.

The cries of the people were too much to bear and they laid it all to Adams Oshiomhole.

Adams Oshiomhole in trying to be a good daddy decides to mediate between the political class and his political son, Obaseki whom he single-handedly crowned as Governor.

The rest they say is history. If NA street we dey dem go say NA SET UP. Oshiomhole unknowingly entered the trap, his mediation not only cost him his job but almost wrecked his image.

You see in life we should learn to acknowledge the people before us that showed us the way, in life, there is nothing like self-made, people no doubt played roles in shaping you to become who you are. The least to show is gratitude.

If we must stand tall it is because we stand on the backs of those who came before us-Old African Proverb.
