Alhaji Ajiya, while speaking when he summoned the two factions for a meeting in his office, which had representatives of the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, DPO, DSS and civil defence corps, condemned the incident.

He said it was unfortunate that despite the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, had set-up a committee to look into the chieftaincy issue, the two factions and their supporters have to create tension in the community.

“I can’t imagined this chieftaincy tussle has been lingering for this too long since 2005, when you people migrated from Kogi to come and settle here in FCT. So I want to make it categorically clear today, that both parties laying claims should henceforth stop parading themselves as chief of Kpokpolobi community until further notice,” he said.

The council chairman also stopped the community from holding Ramadan Tafsir, saying taking such decision will forestall any breaking down of law and order not only in the community but the entire council.
