2023: APC Receives Over 1,322 PDP Supporters in Kogi LGA.

As 2023 general election draws nearer, hundreds of People’s Democratic Party supporters from Girinya and Koton-Karfe South East wards, Kogi local government area of Kogi State, on Monday decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Kogi state commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, who received the defectors at Girinya town, assured them that they are equal to every member of the party with the same rights.

PDP supporters from Gamakpara, Agaga, Ozahi in Girinya ward, Kasemiya and Nwori from Koton-Karfe South East ward, renounced their membership of their erstwhile party and declared their unflinching support for the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The Commissioner assured the decampees that the governor of the state Alhaji Yahaya Bella is very prepared to ensure equal distribution of needed socio-economic amenities to all nooks and crannies in the state.

The reception at Girinya was attended by APC officials from the local government and the two wards, as well as thousands of APC supporters, who were seen jubilating and congratulating the new comers in to the party.
Hon. Gegu therefore advised both the old and new members to unite and foster cordial relationship among themselves to strengthen them for the 2023 election and subsequent ones.

He equally advised that they should guard their PVC jealously as it is their only weapon to be used to defeat the PDP come 2023.

The decampees also assured the government of their readiness to works for the victories of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates from top to bottom.

They explained that they are motivated to join the APC by the numerous Developmental projects the Commissioner influenced to Kogi local government area.
