Umaisha Women for Abdullahi Sule on Sunday, declared their unflinching support for Governor Abdullahi Sule to run for second term in office.
The women under the leadership of Hajiya Maryam Otache, Women Coordinator for Engineer Abdullahi Sule noted that its decision was borne out of a love and desired of present administration to mainstream gender inclusion in governance in the State.
Addressing women in Umaisha Development Area, Toto Local Government Area, Mrs Otache said the Governor have given all his support to women to be part of his administration ranging from political appointments and head other key position that saw them compete favorably with their male counterpart.
According to the women coordinator, it is on record that no administration in modern history of the State has done so well to bring women to the decision making table. We saw this in cabinet composition where he gave some reasonable percentage to women to form part of his cabinet members and as well as in headship
In government agencies and parastatals.
She said women folks in Nasarawa State are adequately represented in virtually all areas involved in policy designs, we have seen serious attention being paid to child development and government services.
The women leader appreciated God for sparing their lives to witness yet another auspicious occasion of the Eid-El-Khabir even as she thanked the political leader of Toto LG, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Balrabe, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly who is currently in Mecca, Saudi Arabia performing pilgrimage.
