Benue State 2023 governorship hopeful on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform, Mr Terver Akase has stressed the essential place of the family in leadership and urged couples to see marriage as an institution ordained by God.

Speaking to newsmen Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the wedding reception of Kamo Chaha and his wife Nguher at City Bay Events Centre, Makurdi, Akase maintained that marriage provides an opportunity for couples to learn leadership skills to handle responsibilities at the family level, pointing out that the micro level propels to higher responsibilities in life.

While congratulating the couple for agreeing to come together in marriage, the guber hopeful admonished them to sustain their love for each other and prayed God to bless their marital union with enduring peace.

He encouraged them to always hold firm believe in God during their good and challenging moments, stressing that they should avoid the temptation of involving a third party in their union but learn to amicably resolve their misunderstanding whenever such arises.

In a remark at the occasion, Wife of the Benue State Governor, Dr. Eunice Ortom who was represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Tabitha Girgi counselled the couple to constantly grow in love and make God the foundation of their union.

The House of Representatives Member for Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Dr. Richard Gbande, Benue State House of Assembly Member representing Logo State Constituency, Hon. Kuranen Yagba, Chairman Ukum Local Government Council, Hon. Stevie Ayua, Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Government House Administration, Hon. James Anbua among other dignitaries also graced the event.
