2023: Conference Of 21 Forum Expresses Commitment To Redefine governance In Kogi

The new emerging group, Conference of 21 Forum, C21F, has said the platform with membership cut across the three senatorial districts remains the best alternative for Kogites and Nigerians to seek elective positions of their choice, as it has all it takes to take over leadership at levels and from old breed politicians that have for a long time stayed on to power without addressing issues bordering the society.

Addressing members of the forum, convener of the Conference of 21 Forum, Comr. Benjamin Jeremiah Ojadole “God First” appreciated members of the forum for their loyalty, support, solidarity and sincerity of purpose towards promoting the ideals, policies and programs of the forum since it was launched this year.

Ojodale also said the forum will not rest on oars until her cardinal objectives were met in line with its manifesto.

According to him, the aim among other things was to foster unity, drums support for younger politicians who have the ambition to aspire for any leadership positions of their choice to attain their dream.

He also said religion, tribe and political parties was not a qualification for any persons before accessing the forum, calling on well meaning goodwill Kogites and Nigerians to join their forum, adding that the platform was has room for more members.

He said it was launched to protect the young people and address their immediate problems being faced over the years.

Ojodale who was the immediate past Kogi State aspirant of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, said the forum will soon draft its constitution and some other items that will guide and pave the way for the smooth running of the executive if finally put in place.

Contributing at the meeting, a renowned critical stakeholder in the Kogi State project and who hails from the central senatorial district of the State, Engineer Muftau Ogweyi, advised the youths to be committed, United dedicated to the cause of a new Kogi and new Nigeria by redefining governance through change of narratives in Kogi if given the opportunity serve.

Engr. Muftau expressed optimism that the forum will succeed owing to its members zeals and cardinal objectives if adhered strictly. He said in any struggle there must be something to give in, such as sacrifices to achieve set goals.

He cautions the forum to be wary of some desperate politicians who will want to use the group for their selfish gains and against the interest of the people and founding members.

Other members who spoke during the meeting included, Comr. Joshua, Mrs Rukuya, Mr Samuel Folorunsho, Engineer Suleiman, Mr Saliu Idris Danlami and others lauded the forum’s initiative and gave all their support to enable her to succeed.

Global Times Nigeria reports that the forum also set up an ad-hoc committee that will see to the smooth running of her affairs pending the outcome of the committee report, which had two members across the two senatorial districts of the State. The committee had the following members, Engineer Muftau Ogweyi, Mr Peter Samuel Audu and Madam Rukuya Saliu from Central District of the State.

Others are Hajia Jumai Ishaka and Comr. Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale (God first) from Kogi East Senatorial District.

Those of Kogi West Senatorial District are, Mr Samuel Folorunsho and Mallam Saliu Idris Danlami.

The committee promised to do a thorough job that will be accepted by all and in the interest of the forum.

The Thursday meeting is the second since the forum commence her struggle held at their regular meeting point the Hill Top Hotels Lokoja, Kogi State.
