A senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Hon Zakari Angulu Dobi and a house of representatives aspirant of the party for Abuja south federal constituency, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, for 2023 election both met with delegates and stakeholders ahead of the part’ys primaries slated for May, 27 and 28, 2022.
Addressing party delegates on Tuesday at Abaji town hall, Hon Zakari Angulu Dobi, said FCT needs an intellectual senator and a house of representatives member to rebuild the FCT and Abuja south federal constituency to its desired dream.
He solicited for the support of the party’s delegates to enable him and the house representatives aspirant to win the party tickets at the primaries, ahead of the upcoming 2023 general elections.
He said it is time for people of the FCT to support the right person that will represent them at the national assembly so they will provide the desired leadership for the prosperity of people of the FCT.
Dobi, however, enlighten the delegates on the needs for adhering to the power-sharing formula in the FCT to spread development.
Also speaking, a house representatives aspirant for Abuja south, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, assured the party’s delegates if he is voted at the primaries, and emerged victorious at the general election, he will ensure he put in place a team with best brains that will turn around the fortunes of the Abuja south.
According to him, he will work closely with the FCT senatorial aspirant to provide the needed strategy to overcome the developmental challenges of people of the territory.
On his part, Abaji area council chapter chairman of the APC, Alhaji Mohammed Haruna Yaba, described the APC FCT senatorial aspirant as a man of peace, justice, fairness, and equity.
He said Hon Dobi has exemplified such attributes before and during the APC wards, local government, and state party congresses.
The chairman-elect of Gwagwalada area council, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Giri, said members of the APC across the FCT owe the APC senatorial aspirant gratitude due to his immense contributions to the formation, growth, and development of the party in the FCT over the years.
