The Abia founding leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State, have eulogized the uncommon leadership charisma and qualities of the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uche Sampson Ogah.

The founding leaders who made their individual opinions known when they received Ogah at the Abia Secretariat of the APC at Adelabu by Azikwe Road in Umuahia, the state capital during the weekend.

Our reports that the Minister flanked by wife, mammoth crowd of party faithfuls and teeming supporters was at the State party secretariat to inform the leadership of the All Progressive Congress chaired by Hon Acho Obioma, who doubled as an ex-member of the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja, on his intention to seek the party’s gubernatorial ticket in the upcoming primaries, and ahead of the man general election in 2023.

Speaking during the declaration ceremony of the Onuaku Uturu-born renowned industrialist and Nigerian Minister of State, Ogah, a former member of the Abia State House of Assembly and the immediate past Abia APC chairman, Hon Donatus Nwankpa, recalled that the latter’s entry into the progressive party brought values to the Abia chapter of the party, when the party was being nicknamed then, as Boko Haram party, and further lauded the visible private sector driven industrialization sited at the uturu Isiukwato local area of the state which had given Abia and teeming youths, men and women employment.

Words: “You brought value to the party in the state which saw also the unprecedented acceptability of the party by the large population of Abians and residents of the state. I can attest to you that Uche Ogah has provided critical infrastructural facelifts in the state by through industralization through his business conglomerates that cut across sub-sahara African continent.

“Recall also that we did loose the last 2019 elections, we won the election, but the powers that be, never allowed the will and wish of the Abia electorates to prevail. I can assure you that come 2023, APC will form the next government in Abia state, the votes of Abia people must count and there is no two ways about it. We are ever ready, and the party is saying the votes of the people must count”.

On his part during his remarks during the declaration event, a frontline chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Publisher of Rising Sun Newspaper, Chief Joshua Ogbonna, lauded the outstanding human and leadership qualities of Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, adding that the uncommon strides by the minister of state are incomparable, adding that the latter’s ascension as Abia representative at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has fostered great number of peoples oriented social amenities in many parts of Abia state, and as well as, the industrialization revolution in Uturu, which had never happened to the state ever before.

He also posited that Ogah has written his name in gold, especially in the area of human capital development and community development which had positively impacted many homes in the state, both urban and rural areas, and saying that he has no doubt that ogah will deliver good governance to the people if given the party ticket, and also supported in the upcoming general election in 2023.

Lauding the uncommon strides of the 2023 gubernatorial aspirant, a Party chieftain and close ally of the minister, Chima Obiwuru, noted that the tremendous gains recorded by Ogah, stood him tall among others aspirants jostling for the position of Governor of Abia in 2023.

According to him, “Uche Ogah has demonstrated traits of a wonderful leader that truly love his people and who will change the fortunes of our people and ensure lasting development of Abia state”.

Also lending his voice during the event, a former member of the Abia State House of Assembly that represented Bende South State Constituency, Hon Chibuzor Solomon Okogbuo, applauded the leadership styles and human characteristics of Dr Uche Ogah, coupled with monumental gains he had recorded in the federal Ministry of Mines and Development since inauguration cum assumption of office as Nigerian Minister of State.

Okogbuo who stated this while speaking to journalists shortly after the formal declaration ceremony by the Minister held at the State Party office in Umuahia, maintained that Ogah possessed the requisite qualifications more than other aspirants in other political parties jostling for the 2023 Abia gubernatorial position, expressing optimism that the latter would address most of the teething challenges that had constituted and has remained the clogs in the wheel of progress of Abia state, if given the chance to be elected as governor.

The ex-Abia lawmaker said, “Abia people will rejoice, and will see total transformation in all critical sectors of the state’s economy to ensure enhancing and fostering of critical infrastructure to improve and rise the development standard of Abia state.

“He has come to to provide the basic dividends of democracy to the every doorsteps of the Abia populaces, and make lives better for the masses, and what i am asking all eligible Abia voters to use their PVC, which is the only weapon, to remove non performing elected office holders, and equally make use of their permanent Voters Cards to enthrone the needed leaderships at all levels to foster an economically and infrastructurally stable Abia for our good and, and good of unborn future generations to come”.

Eulogizing the Ogah, an APC youth leader from Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Kelvin Ugorji, while fielding questions with newsmen shortly after the event at the weekend, posited that the minister has displayed sterlings human and leadership qualities through empowerment of youths in all stratas of the state, and ensure enhance development of many Abia areas or communities, stating that Ogah is fully equiped as an administrator, with huge wealth of experience, capacity and energy, as well as, large heart to accommodate the differences among Abians.

The youth leader said, “he has the capacity, competences and expertise, having served meritoriously both in the private and public sector which seen and adjudged to be the engine room of president Buhari’s administration with good track records, he has deep understanding about government business, human and financial administration, budgeting system and above all, he is a core party man, however, the party leadership both at the state and federal level is likely to determine who flies the party ticket which I think with all sincerity, Dr. Uche has what it takes to deliver Abia from the hands of PDP’s Egyptians with his aim of deepening the job creation efforts of the incumbent Gov. Ikpeazu.

“As a revered community leader in Abia, Dr. Uche has sponsored well above 300 indegent students to tertiary institution who today are all doing wonderfully well in their different endeavors, that shows he has always been part of the human and educational development in the state”, he submitted.

Meanwhile, the Abia State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Hon Acho Obioma, has applauded the minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Uche Sampson Ogah, for the exemplary leadership he has demonstrated as Abia member in Federal Executive Council, Abuja through attraction of several peoples oriented projects tilted at enhancing human empowerment, and the Infrastructural development in Abia state.

The ex-federal lawmaker said,”your entry into the party, added value to the Abia APC. We are grateful. You gave hope and lives to the parry. And as you visit the state party leadership, we pray God to lead through in your passion to rebuild the state.

“We are also working hard to ensure we win forthcoming elections. And before the main general elections, we shall come out from our primaries as one family. We are going to meet with all our aspirants next week Tuesday to formalize modalities and take a common decision in the interests of the party and people of Abia state”.
