A prominent politician from Zone B area of Kogi local government, and former Chairmanship aspirant, Hon. Mohammed Shuaibu Asio, on Saturday reiterated the commitment of the stakeholders in ensuring the existing agreement between Lokoja and Kogi local government is maintain and sustain, which he said will usher in unity, peace and development.

The grassroot political icon made this known when he accompanied Hon. Chief Saidu Akawu Salihu to declared intention to run for House of Representatives for Lokoja/Koto federal constituency come 2023.

He said working for peace is sacrosanct and should be respected.

Mr. Asio said the people of Lokoja local government should reason with the party by allowing the party supremacy prevailed as to have a platform and direction of unity among the two sister LGAs.

According to him, Chief Saidu Akawu Salihu is a political party himself, added his emergence will add to the fortune of the party if given the mandate.

“Chief Akawu will unite the party, he has the capacity, experience and exposure to accomplish all tasks before him”.

” We are here to support his aspiration, he is a leader per excellence. His aspiration will attract meaningful development if given the chance.”

He appealed to the All Progressives Congress, APC, executives to rally support to Galadima Daudu of Igu Koton-karfe Kingdom, stressed the need for the party to speak in one voice ahead of slated primaries. He said.
