Wife of the senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda representing the territory, Princess Hauwa Philip Aduda, said FCT has always been a strong – hold of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) since 1999, saying women who control the block votes during every election will deliver the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar in February, 25, 2023 election in the territory.
Princess Aduda, while speaking when she hosted wife of the party’s presidential candidate, Hajiya Rukaiyyat Atiku Abubakar, during an interactive session with women groups/leaders across the six area councils, in Abuja on Friday, also expressed confidence that the FCT women will deliver her husband, Senator Phillip Aduda, house representative member for AMAC /Bwari constituency, Micah Jiba and Abuja south Reps member, Alhaji Hassan Sokodabo during the February 25, 2023 polls.
“I want to you our incoming first Lady, that FCT is PDP and PDP is FCT. PDP has never lost election in FCT since 1999. And if want us to avail with the record, we will do that as our women have resolved to deliver Atiku Abubakar come February 25th, 2023 in FCT God wiling, “she said.
She added” there is no tension, we are assuring you of our full support by the grace of almighty. These women you are seeing here have not been sleeping, as they have been working very hard across nook and crannies of the FCT to ensure that PDP wins the 2023 general election, “she told Atiku’s wife.
She, therefore, thanked her for the support and finding time to come and interact with the FCT women, saying Atiku’s wife will no distance time become a member of FCT constituency.
Also speaking, the wife PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, Hajiya Rukaiyyat Atiku Abubakar, said she was fully aware even before now that FCT has always been a strong of the PDP.
“And that is why even in every election that my husband has been contesting, he has never lost FCT, which I hope you women will replicate that again come February 25th, 2023 election in the FCT,” she said.
She, therefore, called on the women to ensure Senator Phillip Aduda, house of representative member for AMAC /Bwari constituency Micah Jiba and Abuja south Reps member, Alhaji Hassan Sokodabo were also all returned elected during the February 25, polls.
She also advised the women against using the big finger, saying they must ensure they make use of one of the fingers that will not render their ballot papers invalid during thumb printing on election day.
