The stakeholders of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has purchased nomination/interest forms for Senator Philip Aduda, as a sole candidate to recontest for the senate seated during the 2023 general elections.
The FCT PDP state chairman, Hon Sunday Zaka, while handing over the nomination/interest forms to Senator Aduda at the conference hall of his private residence in Jabi, Abuja on Saturday, said the party stakeholders decided to purchase the nomination/interest forms to Senator Aduda because he has endeared
himself to the good people of the FCT as an astute political leader.
He said Senator Aduda’s achievements since he has been representing the good people of the FCT under the party’s platform has surpassed other senators that represented the people of the territory in the past.
According to him, Senator Aduda has impacted positively on the lives of good people of the FCT through youths/women empowerment, employment, infrastructural development across the 62 political wards and rural communities of the territory, scholarships to both indigens and non indigenes of the FCT and among others.
He added that Senator Aduda has facilitated to tackle the perennial water problems especially across rural communities in the FCT, adding Senator Aduda, has passed bills that will give the good people of the FCT a sense of belonging.
“The FCT PDP state stakeholders has identified several achievements of Senator Philip Aduda, which has surpassed that of any senator that has represented the FCT in the past. And it was on that basis the stakeholders unanimously resolved to adopt as the party’s sole candidate and purchased nomination/interest forms for him to contest again so that he can continue with the good work he has been doing for the good people of the FCT,” he said.
He said it was on the premise of Senator Aduda’s track record that the PDP stakeholders deemed it necessary to ensure that Senator Aduda is reelected back to the red chambers of the national assembly to advance his unwavering quest to deliver dividends of democracy to the good people of the FCT in 2023 election.
Our correspondent report that Senator Philip Aduda, who is currently representing the people of FCT for third term in the national assembly, will be contesting for fourth term come in 2023 general elections.
Responding, Senator Aduda, while receiving the nomination/interest forms from the state chairman, Hon Sunday Zaka, appreciated the party officials and stakeholders for finding him worthy to return to the red chambers to continue the good works for the good people of the FCT.
He, however, promised to consolidate on the tremendous gains recorded so far with the view to redoubling his effort for greater achievement going forward.
