Following the Appeal Court judgment that affirmed Hon. Mohammed Yarima Al-basheer as APC candidate for Nasarawa /Toto Federal House of Representatives, the Nasarawa State Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule has presented party flag to him ahead of the 2023 General Elections.
The event which took place at party office in Lafia today Tuesday was well attended with party supporters and well wishers saw the venue agog.
Presenting the flag to Hon. Al – Bashir, Governor Abdullahi Sule said the decision was informed as a result of court litigation that was brought to an end.
The Governor called on all parties involved to put their differences aside, unit and work for the victory of the party.
On his part, the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who described the situation as the will of God, manifestation and reflection of the people’s choice said it a victory for democracy.
Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi commended the judgement of the Appeal Court which he said has further restored the confidence of the people on the judiciary as the last hope of the common man.
Speaking in an interview, Hon. Mohammed Yarima Al – basheer promised to justify the confidence reposed on him by his people emphasizing that he will make a difference if finally elected into office.
The event had in attendance the former Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Musa Ahmed Muhammed and former Secretary to the State Government Ahmed Aliyu Tijani among other stakeholders from the Western Senatorial Zone of the State.
