A political group, Jideofo 2023 Presidential Campaign Movement, has insisted that Nigeria is sick and in urgent need of fixing for reasonable progress.

The group also maintained that the present Nigeria need a President that possess the requisite knowledge, vision and economic and Infrastructure-based manifesto to salvage her the nation from myriads of challenges impeding its growth and development.

In a terse statement issued to journalists on Tuesday, against the worsening state of affairs currently in Nigeria, the campaign group, okayed a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, from the southeast, Chief Chinedu Jideofo-Ogbuagu to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the 2023 general election, and posited that the southeast party chieftain has the needed capacity, competence to rescue the nation from the shackles of socio-economic, political and as well, Infrastructural developmental backwardness

The political movement opined that Jideofo-Ogbuagu has the vision, integrity, patriotism, nationalism, selflessness, principle, personal discipline, focus and determination to deliver on all our promises without corrupt compromises.

Parts of the group’s statement read, “we at Jideofo 2023 Presidential Campaign Movement are doing our best. We do not own bullion vans nor do we have bottomless pockets or what should be illegal foreign sponsors; we are only sacrificing the little we have not for ourselves but for all Nigerians – including you and your family members.

“We are not really about party or any other parochial affiliations; what we have in abundance are development vision, integrity and patriotism to take Nigeria from Third-World to First-World status and all that comes with First-World status.

“Now, some people will not give our presidential aspirant/candidate much chance of success in the 2023 presidential race, because he has never stolen and will never steal whether private or public resources, but no one can honestly and confidently say that they know who will become elected President and sworn in on 29th May 2023. Only God does.

“People can only express their wish or prejudices based on their personal sentiments, biased imaginations and limited knowledge, but no human being – Nigerian or foreign – can accurately predict or prophesy 2023.

“The truth is that our presidential aspirant/candidate has as much chance as anyone else of making it to the finishing line ahead of other contestants with your support and support of other well-meaning Nigerians.

“So, we plead for support of you friends and even foes for Chinedu Jideofo-Ogbuagu’s 2023 presidential aspiration on hope. With hope, you will not hesitate to support us; with hope, we will win together against all odds”.
