The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election, and Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeayi Arthur Okowa, will arrive Asaba International Airport, at 9:30am on Thursday 23rd June, 2022.
State party structures at senatorial, LGA and Ward levels; leaders of our great party, PDP, in Delta state and beyond, members of the state executive council and political appointees are expected to mobilize party faithfuls and attend the heroic welcome of our amiable governor, state leader and Vice Presidential candidate.
The Vice President in-waiting, H.E. Okowa, is expected to touch down in Asaba from Abuja exactly 9:30am or so soon thereafter, into the waiting hands of the Deputy Governor, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, State Governorship Candidate and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, State Party Chairman, Barrister Kingsley Esiso, Secretary to the State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah, and other top government officials and party leaders.
After the airport activities, the Vice Presidential candidate of PDP and dignitaries shall proceed to the Cenotaph, High Court Road, Asaba, for a grand reception in his honour.
It will be recalled that Governor Okowa emerged as the running mate of PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Turaki Adamawa, on 16th June, 2022.
His emergence was received with loud ovation across the country.
