2023: Ibaji Students Union Throws Weight Behind APC Assembly Candidate Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola.

The Ibaji Student’s body in the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja has thrown its support behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) state house of Assembly candidate for the Ibaji constituency, Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola alias Egwaba, is a prominent Kogi East-born female politician.

The students at their weekly tribal meeting held at Kogi State Polytechnic, on Saturday promised to move around the nooks and crannies of the Ibaji constituency to canvas for support that will aid her victory in the upcoming election.

The President of the Union and the Ejeh Ibaji Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, Comrade Danjuma James Endurance said the Ibaji students decided to throw weight behind the All Progressives Congress, APC, standard bearer gave her antecedents performance and numerous interventions when she held sway in the past.

Comrade Endurance described Hon Nwuchiola as a rare grassroot politician, mother of all, and, one that is very accessible, focused, and determined to provide the much-needed leadership that is required by the good people of the Ibaji local government area.

 

The student leader lamented how some politicians from the area and incumbent lawmakers ignored the student’s in his scheme of activities, saying such politicians should not be allowed to go close to power and have failed woefully.

“Since 2016 when our leadership came onboard, after peaceful and orderly conduct of the election that brought us here, we have been championing for good governance in our immediate local government. We know the tasks ahead are enormous and we call for patriotism, unity, diligence, purposeful, visionary, and progressive leadership.”

“As a leading political party in Nigeria, so much is required and expected of our great incoming lawmaker, Hon. Comfort Ojoma Enwuchiola, to point the way forward to our long-suffering compatriots who have been impoverished, oppressed, suppressed, and subdued,” he said.

 

Speaking earlier, the APC candidate for the Ibaji constituency, Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba thanked the Igala Students association Kogi State Polytechnic for honoring her and her campaign team.

The elated female politician said as a former Student Union President Federal College of Medical Laboratory Technology, VOM, Plateau State, she knew what students pass through as they pursue their future via learning, assuring that their welfare will top her priority if elected.

He noted that scholarship grants are what student needs to support their studies even as she pledged to do her best in that regard.

She also urged Ibaji Students and youths to participate actively in the electoral process by making their PVCs available, assuring that with the new technology introduced by INEC in conducting elections, there is no doubt that people’s votes will count in the general election and adding that APC government will emerge to make Nigeria great again.

Nwuchiola Egwaba who is also a former Chairperson of Ibaji LGC said that her new leadership will lobby the state government as part of efforts to attract infrastructure and meaningful development to the area.

According to her, she will legislate to fulfill her core legislative responsibility which she named security and welfare of the people.

She expressed the need for politicians to periodic hold town hall meetings with constituents as to get to know more of their plight for onward actions.

She also calls on the students and youths of Ibaji to continue to render their support to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his security consciousness and transformational agenda embark by his administration.

While wishing the students well, Nwuchiola Egwaba urged them to shun any act capable of derailing their future as she pray for their academic success.

“The forthcoming 2023 general election provides another opportunity to save the nation from clueless leadership. Our great party fielded credible candidates to contest various offices.

She said Tinubu/Shettima ticket is the best that will ever happen to Nigeria and Nigerians, urging the students to key into the project.

Nwuchiola Egwaba who formerly held several positions includes, Coordinator Family Advancement Programme (FAP) Ibaji LG, Coordinator Kogi Women Empowerment Network (KOWEN) Ibaji LG, Supervisory Councilor for health Ibaji LG 2013 – 2014, Chairperson, Medical and Workers Union, Ibaji LG chapter 2021- 2022 and Matron of several women and youth groups in Ibaji LG.

Others are, Kogi East women leader of the Igala Cultural Development Association representing Ibaji LG, President of several women association, Member of campaign committees both state and local government levels, former board member Kogi hotels and tourism board.

Global Times Nigeria reports that the Ibaji students numbering over a hundred were overwhelmed and eager to work for the success of the APC and its Assembly Candidate, Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba.

The APC candidate was accompanied by Ibaji APC publicity secretary, Engr. Victor O. Ojattah, women coordinator, media team, and host of supporters.
