The Senator Representing the good people of Kogi East Senatorial District, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho has declared for second term in office having performed excellently well.

While declaring his intention before the executives of All Progressives Congress ( APC), Echocho stated that he appreciated the leadership of the party in the state, local government area, the ward level and the good people of Kogi East for the confidence reposed in him and the trust to represent them at the national assembly for the first term

He stated that he attracted more development to the Constituency in terms of bills and motions sponsored, Constituency projects, empowerment of youths, women, and other categories of people aimed at improving the condition of living of the people of his constituency and Nigeria as a whole through oversight committee assignment.

Senator Echocho who took time to ex-ray some of his legacy ‘constituency’ projects across the nine local government areas of Kogi East Senatorial District emphasized that some weeks back, he embarked on a constituency inspection tour of completed and ongoing projects in the district with the presence of reputable media organizations in the state and it was a satisfactory venture as the people commended his modest efforts.

It could be recalled that, at Ibaji 10 thousand capacity metric tons of rice mill, which has been completed and ready to be commissioned, the Asharu Palm oil mill is also completed and ready to be commissioned soon, the skill acquisition center located at Ayigba is completed and already in use as various training and empowerment are ong ng while many people have been trained and deployed to start various trade learned.

Speaking further, the elated Senator said efforts are ongoing to collaborate with other relevant stakeholders for more business patronage, especially allies in the shoe, paint-making sections, and other areas in need of collaboration for effective utilization of the center.

Echocho emphasized that despite being the first termer in the senate he has constructed motorized boreholes across the constituency, solar streets sighted in some major towns, and villages, empowered youths, women, artisans, People with disability, widows, and orphans among others.

According to the senator, efforts are ongoing for the establishment of the cashew processing industry as land has been allocated for about two or three locations.

He urges the APC delegates from Kogi East to support and vote for him for the 2023 APC senate ticket to enable to him fly on the party platform.

Responding, the zonal chairman of the party, Hon. Alfa Muhammad Nasir welcomed the senator and his entourage, he emphasized that APC is one of the largest political parties in Africa and all aspirants are welcome to make their intentions known to the party and commend Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho for the success so far achieved and urged him to always carry members of the party along in the schemes of things and assured him of support, having performed excellently well in the first term.

APC local government chairmen from the 9 local government areas were present with their executives as they took time to speak in appreciation for the modest efforts and the way forward for the party victory in the coming elections, promised of continued support to enable him to do more.
