2023: My campaign promises is to bring governance closer to FCT people – Senator Aduda.

The senate minority leader, Senator Philip Aduda, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) said aside from making laws, one of his campaign promises was to ensure that he brings governance closer to the good people of the territory.

Aduda, spoke when he hosted the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa and members of the presidential campaign council as well as some governor’s of the party in Abuja.

He said while it was not yet uhuru, suffice it to say, there was no every single passing day, that reality of the actualization of his dream stares people of FCT all in the face, which he said rejuvenated his people unflinching hope that “It is possible”.

According to him, it was for the first time in a long while, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar had an interactive session with the good people of the FCT in a closed door session with the traditional rulers, which he said demands were made before the party’s presidential candidate.

“And it was at that closed doors interactive season that both indigenes and residents and assurances of implementation was extracted. It was business unusual,” he said.

He added “and its with a warm and electrifying atmosphere, I led other PDP faithfuls, to receive H.E Alhaji Atiku Abubakar( PDP Presidential candidate), Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa ( Our VP candidate), and other members of the PCC of the PDP, including Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Governor Udom Emmanuel, our National Chairman of the PDP, Senator Iyorcha Ayu, among top party chieftains to a campaign rally in Abuja, “.

The senate minority leader, however, assured that it was in furtherance of his promise to deliver Abuja come February, 25, 2023 general election, which he said he has always been doing since the inception of democracy in 1999.

“And I believe strongly that our collective efforts will not be in vain, as we strive to make FCT a habitable place for us all,” he said.

Our correspondent will recalled that the senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda, had on Saturday, led over 50,000 PDP members and supporters across the six area councils to a campaign rally for the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

Abubakar, while speaking at the campaign rally, said he was overwhelmed with the mammoth crowd, saying “Abuja is truly PDP” while he promised to implement those demands people of the FCT have been agitating for over years if he is elected as president come 2023.
