As 2023 general elections draw near Mada stakeholders of different political opinions in Nasarawa State has commenced a unity meeting for all Mada tribal men and women home and in diaspora on the need to speak in one voice.
The maiden marathon meeting which commenced with Nasarawa West Senatorial Zone was held in Kokona LGA of the State with the Deputy Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Nahemiah Tsentse Dandaura from Northern Zone attended the meeting as Mada political leader in the State.

The Mada Nation Unity Meeting for western zone which had in attendance the State Accountant General Zakka Yakubu, community leaders and other stakeholders was among other things to enable the people unite as one entity irrespective of affiliations and take a common direction politically ahead of 2023 general election.
Addressing the people, Deputy Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Nehemiah Tsentse Dandaura called on Mada nation and other people of the State to support the re-election bid of Gov. Abdullahi Sule come 2023.
The Deputy Speaker made the call at a unity meeting of Mada Stakeholders of Nasarawa West Senatorial district held today Sunday in Garaku, Kokona LGA of the State.
Hon Dandaura said that if Mada nation and other people of the State returned Gov.Sule in 2023, they would benefit and enjoy more dividends of democracy.
He urged Mada nation to forget whatever their differences are and unite in order to move Mada nation forward.
” The meeting is to unite, bring our people in Keffi Zone ( Nasarawa West) together and proffer political direction to them ahead of 2023 general election
” Let’s forget our litle differences, come together and unite in order to move Mada nation forward and to benefit from the State Government developmental strides beyond 2023.
” In 2023, let’s play politics that will bring development and benefit to our people and the society in general,” he said.
Dandaura commended the stakeholders of Mada nation for turning out en-mass for the meeting.
The Deputy Speaker said that Gov. Abdullahi Sule has done a lot and still doing in developing the State and deserves another term in office to consolidate.
” Please let’s give our maximum support to the government of the day, that is the government of His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi Sule.
” Let’s all be loyal and support His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed beyond 2023.
” This is to enable us enjoy more dividends of democracy as His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule has performed well in almost all sectors of the economy.
Dandaura said that they will go to nooks and crannies of Mada nation and other communities to drum support for Gov. Sule to succeed in 2023.
He urged Mada nation and the people of the State to continue to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations for development to thrive
Contributing, Mr Zakka Yakubu, the Accountant General of Nasarawa State, has urged Madam people to continue to unite for the overall development of Mada nation and the society at large.
He has also called on Mada people to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed beyond 2023 irrespective of their party affiliations.

The Accountant General said that Mada nation would benefit from more dividends of democracy if Gov. Sule is re-elected in 2023.
” And our people and other people of the State will enjoy more dividends of democracy, if His Excellency is returned for the second term come 2023,” he said.
He assured of his readiness to mobilise support for Gov Sule to succeed beyond 2023.
On their parts, Prof. Silas Gyar, Former Rector, Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia, Hon Peter Mbucho, former Majority Leader of the State Assembly who is a Commissioner, Local Government Service Commission, among others called on Mada nation to embrace unity at all times.
They said that no society would achieve speedy development without unity and peace, hence the need of their advice in that direction.
Our correspondent who monitored the program report that the meeting had in attendance Mr Radolph Para, former Permanent Secretary and Commissioner, State Civil Service Commission, Hon Paul Tella, SSA to Gov. Sule on Politcal Matters, Engr. James Bashayi, President, Mada Development Association ( MDA), past and present political leaders, traditional rulers among other stakeholders.
