The north central youth leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon Zubairu Aliyu Rugom, has pledged his support for the senatorial aspirant for Nasarawa west, Barrister Shuaibu Labaran Magaji’s quest to represent the people of the zone at the senate in 2023.
Rug, who stated this when played host to Barrister Magaji, in his chambers in Abuja, on Tuesday, declared that the senatorial aspirant has the needed qualities to represent the good people of Nasarawa senatorial zone in the 2022 general election.
He said his visit to the senatorial aspirant was to explore synergy with him and other top leaders of the party in the north central how to deliver APC in the zone in 2023 polls.
He described Barrister Magaji as a rallying point for progressives in the north-central zone, saying his strategy and support especially at the grassroots had great influence in the north-central zone.
“And besides, looking at his campaign strategies and his support base and influence in the zone no doubt called for a synergy between the youths wing and the party chieftain for the robust victory of APC in 2023 election,” he said.

He commended the senatorial aspirant for making a lot of sacrifices to reshape internal democracy while assuring him of the youth supports ahead of 2023.
Responding, Barrister Magaji, commended the effort of the APC north central youth leader, for identifying with his effort and his commitment to the party, assuring him to continue to support APC to win at all levels.
He, therefore, called on the party stalwarts to support the policies and programs of the youths that will advance the progressive ideas on youth inclusion at all levels.
It will be recalled that the APC senatorial aspirant for Nasarawa west, Barrister Magaji, has filed a suit a High Court suiting in Lafia, Nasarawa to reclaim his mandate over the last APC primaries in which Architect Shehu Tukur was declared as the winner, even as Magaji had alleged of doctored delegates list from Keffi and Nasarawa local government.
The court had during its last sitting adjourned till August 30, 2022, to enable Barrister Magaji to tender more evidence after the court granted his application through his counsel.
