…Urges Nigerians To Ignore DCIGG’s Fabricated $3 Million Bribery Allegation.
Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor on Communications, Dr. Barr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has urged Nigerians to ignore the fabricated $3 million bribe money allegation in respect of Vice Presidential ticket levelled against Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa by a faceless group.
The Eacgov in a swift reaction to the media propaganda, disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen in Asaba, that the mischievous lies was sponsored by promoters of a failed governorship aspirant in the just concluded Guber primary, who are yet to recover from the frustrations and agony of gambling away huge sums of money, in a free, fair, transparent and credible primary beamed live on AIT.
According to him, the fake $3million bribery allegation by a faceless group that goes by the name; Delta Central for Integrity and Good Governance, DCIGG, was an overflow of shame and frustration traceable to the failure of a gubernatorial aspirant who solely relied on expired extraordinary connections without corresponding political popularity to win Delta PDP governorship primary.
Oghenesivbe further asserted that governor Okowa stands out as a political colossus, a loyal and trusted party man, a visionary leader and a great achiever in the delivery of qualitative dividends of democracy in the last seven years and still counting.
“Deltans have been testifying to the credible and visionary leadership of governor Okowa in terms of socioeconomic and infrastructure development. His hatred for corruption is well known by civil servants and political appointees as well as government’s registered contractors in the state.
“Okowa is well known to be a prudent manager of state resources; wiped out ghost workers from the state payrolls, introduced strict financial control measures and blocked all financial leakages across board.
“He has etched his name in gold as a pragmatic and result oriented political strategist in State and national politics, judging from his enviable track records as Chairman of South-South Governors Forum, as well as Chairman, elective and nonelective PDP conventions.
“Okowa was Chairman of PDP Presidential primary in 2019, and organized the most freest and transparent primary in the country, attested to by local and international political observers.
“Okowa worked and still working extensively with national leaders of PDP in the ongoing electioneering process leading to 2023 general elections. They know his worth, integrity, contributions, competence and capacity as a reliable astute politician in the affairs of the party.
“Therefore, Okowa does not need to bribe anybody within the PDP family, states or national, before being nominated by leaders across the country as running mate to PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Turaki Adamawa.
“Okowa’s strong moral values and integrity will not permit him to bribe anybody to get a position generally believed to match his pedigree, competence and capacity.
