2023: Tinubu should be blamed for Buhari’s Abysmal Performance, reject him at the polls – Okowa’s EAC.

…Says cost of FG’s local rice higher than minimum wage, a minus for APC national government.

Executive Assistant on Communications to the Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Governor of Delta State, Dr Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has urged eligible voters in Nigeria to reject the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for marketing President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians in 2015 and 2019 through aggressive media propaganda and blame game tactics.

Oghenesivbe made the call while speaking at Quest Radio and Television political programme, aired live on Wednesday 26th October and monitored in Asaba, saying that Asiwaju Tinubu is a major stakeholder and partner in the failed APC national government.

He said that the national economic leader of APC government and the Jagaban of Borgu, should be held responsible for Buhari’s poor performance in office on the grounds that he was and still a major driver of the failed economic policies and programmes of APC national government in the past seven years and counting, and therefore does not deserve the precious votes of Nigerians.

Oghenesivbe assured Nigerians that the Presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his amiable Vice, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa,CON, shall work very hard to restore Nigeria’s lost glory and pride of place in the global leadership stage by revamping the economy, restructure Nigeria to encourage and facilitate healthy socioeconomic and productive competition among regions and States.

He assured Nigerians that Atiku-Okowa presidency shall establish state police for effective and efficient policing, so as to enhance security of lives and property as against the lip service paid to acute insecurity and lack of political willpower to take decisive steps under APC nation government led by President Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Okowa’s EAC noted with utmost dismay that Tinubu had on several occasion erroneously commended President Buhari over the poor state of insecurity in Nigeria, mismanagement of the nation’s economy and huge debts incurred for generation of yet unborn Nigerians by this administration, pointing to show that Tinubu is careless about the collapsed economy; and further assured that APC can no longer win elections in Nigeria through the instrumentality of media propaganda, blackmail, blame game and fake promises.

On the issue of APC local rice production which Dr Wilson Omene of the APC claimed to be one of the greatest achievements of Buhari administration, Oghenesivbe who is a fellow of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration, F.cida, and Distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, Dfcism, said the cost of APC local rice which is currently N35,000 per bag, is way higher than the minimum wage of N30,000, and that majority of Nigerians who are minimum wage earners have been borrowing every month to buy soup ingredients and other daily needs due to high inflation rate at 35 percent, highest since Nigeria got independence in 1960.

He noted that prior to May 29, 2015, when PDP handed over a robust economy to APC at the national level, a bag of foreign rice was selling at a cost of N5,500 while a bag of local rice sold for between N1,800 and N2,000, adding that the APC local rice does not make economic sense whatsoever, and should never be recorded as an achievement in whatever circumstances or economic consideration, and in a situation where a loaf of bread is now N1,500 as against N120 per loaf in 2015.

The PDP communication strategist further posited that Nigeria was one of the fastest growing economy when Buhari came on board in 2015, and obviously mismanaged the economy, mismanaged the education and health sectors; and which obviously prompted massive brain drain, as our best doctors left Nigeria in frustration, and also badly mismanaged fuel subsidy and today a pump price of fuel is N190 as against N86 per litre in 2015.

He noted that the moribund economy under Buhari was traceable to the unpatriotic roles played by Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu who today is one of the greatest beneficiaries of APC national government, and therefore lack moral justification to canvass for votes of hungry, angry, impoverished and frustrated Nigerians in 2023. Oghenesivbe lamented the worthlessness of the Naira now exchanging at N175 to one United States dollar as against N120 to one U.S. dollar in 2015.

“Nigeria economy is bleeding heavily under APC national government and the chief architect of our pains is Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who sold the garbage called APC to Nigerians via media propaganda in 2015 and 2019.

“Nigeria’s total annual income is not sufficient to service the huge debts incurred by APC national government and we have been borrowing to service debts. Tinubu brought Nigeria to this pitiable condition by promoting Buhari’s bad governance through aggressive media propaganda.

“Neither APC nor any political party can win elections based on media propaganda and deception, not anymore. Nigerians especially eligible voters are now well informed politically via social media platforms, which is why the Buhari administration is working very hard to stifle social media operation in this country, so as to cover the mess of APC national government led by Buhari and Tinubu.

“Tinubu has nothing to offer Nigerians, his Lagos State authoritarian and despotic regime will collapse in 2023. He was the remote Chief economic strategist and invisible major driver of Buhari’s failed economic policies, programmes and Nigerians cannot afford to suffer for another 8 years of APC misrule. God forbid!

“Atiku will restore and grow the nation’s economy, sept up our Gross Domestic Product, GDP, overhaul and keep the refineries working in full capacity to stop importation of fuel and abolish fuel subsidy which has been grossly mismanaged due to the obvious unprecedented corruption in high places including crude oil theft under Buhari and APC administration, for which Tinubu remained the major driver and stakeholder.

“Atiku-Okowa presidential candidacy is a done deal, Nigerians are extremely passionate about taking back their country from the moribund APC, and come 2023, PDP and Atiku-Okowa shall win the Presidential election in a landslide victory,” Oghenesivbe assured.
