2023: Toto APC Elders Forum Declares Emphatic Support For Tinubu, Gov Sule, Labaran Shafa.
With the lifting of the ban placed on political campaigns by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the country, the Toto Ward All Progressives Congress, APC, Elder’s forum on Saturday met with the incumbent lawmaker representing Toto/Gadabuke state constituency, Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa.
The meeting which was held in Toto also had in attendance, the Vice Chairman of Toto LGC, Hon. Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis, Supervisory councilor works/Transport, Hon. Danlami Usman, and Special Adviser political matters to Chairman of Toto LG, Hon. Musa Dasukwo.
Others in attendance were the present and past EXCO members of the party in the local government area.

In a communique signed by the Chairman and secretary of the forum Elder Alhaji Musa Ozeremi and Alhaji Usman Maji said the forum has At the end of the meeting unanimously endorsed the candidatures of APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule and the lawmaker representing the Toto Gadabuke constituency.
The forum gave Its support to the political leader of Toto LG, and Speaker, Nasarawa State house of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Toto LGC Chairman, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas and Hon. Commissioner for health, Mr. Ahmed Baba Yahaya and other appointees from the area.
While appreciating Governor Abdullahi Sule for his efforts in the area, the forum pleaded with him to fix the age-long gully erosion which has consumed scores of houses and is fastly advancing the remaining part of the ancient Toto town.

The party’s elders therefore expressed the concern of the people and called In the state government to take urgent steps to rescue Toto town form the fast approaching menace resulting from the dangerous erosion.

In the last three years we’ve witnessed some excellent jobs you embarked upon and you’re such a hardworking legislator with the interest of our people at heart.”
“The forum is very loyal and supportive of the ruling party the APC, we are ever ready to work hard to ensure APC retain her seats from bottom to top.” Forum agreed.
They debunked the insinuations making the rounds that some political parties have hijacked the APC in Toto.
DIrector General Usman Labaran Shafa Campaign Organization (ULSO) who is the Supervisory councilor Works/Housing/Transport, Hon. Danlami Usman Datsoho ( Garkuwa) thanked the forum for always standing by the APC, and expressed optimism that with the support from the elder’s forum the road to 2023 election will be easy.
On his part, the lawmaker representing Toto/Gadabuke state constituency, Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa after reeling out his achievements which includes, installation of solar light in Toto town and some villages, employment of youths into civil service, empowerment of youths/women with sewing machines, refrigerators, agricultural and farm inputs among others.
He also said the present administration is committed towards electrifying Toto, and therefore called on them to continue to support the ruling government in order to get more dividends of democracy.
