2023: We shall give you your entitlements under present constitution – Atiku tells FCT residents.

Former vice president and the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in February, 25, 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, has assured the residents of the FCT that he will ensure all their entitlements under the current constitution are given to them if he is elected as president of the country.

Abubakar, made the pledged at the party’s presidential campaign rally in Abuja, on Saturday, which had the senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda representing the FCT, house of representative members for AMAC /Bwari and Abuja south federal constituency, Micah Jiba and Alhaji Hassan Usman Sokodabo were in attendance.

He said he will ensured that all the appointments that belong to the people of the FCT are given to them, adding that he will support the the constitutional review to ensure that people of the territory were carried along under his administration.

“And on the process of restructuring, we shall give you all that you have been demanding for, as it is nothing new that cannot be done. And I want to assure you that, and I want to promise you that,” he said.

He noted that people of the FCT have always support him on every election, saying he believes that people of the territory are going to support him again in 2023.

“Besides, what we are here for is to bless people of the FCT for always supporting us. And I want to assure people of FCT that we will do more than what we have done for you between 1999 to 2015,” he added.

Abubakar, further promised to ensure that his administration secure the lives and properties of entire people of the FCT, saying security is part of his five points agenda.

He, however, said he will ensure that his administration gives every part of the country a sense of belonging, saying no any part of the country will be marginalized under him.

He added that his administration will ensure there is peace everybody will go about their normal activities, assuring further to make education accessible for people of the country.

“And we will also make sure that our universities are open such that there Wil be no strike forever,” he said.

Abubakar, further assured that people of the FCT will be the first to feel the impact of his administration if elected as president, adding “I promise you as usual that PDP administration will fulfil all those obligations,”.

Also speaking, the national chairman of the PDP, Dr Iyorcha Ayu, said there was no to come to the FCT to campaign again since PDP is fully on ground in the territory.

He noted that the last area councils election in the FCT has proved that PDP is fully on ground after the party won 48 councilors out 62.

He urged people of the FCT to vote during the next year’s election as they did in the last area council election, adding they should vote the party’s presidential candidate, FCT senator and the two house of representativs candidates.

“It is quite unfortunate that every citizen of Abuja is suffering. You are suffering from housing, you are suffering for rice. A bag of rice now is almost N50, 000, as most of you will not enjoy Christmas because of the APC,” he said.

He the ruling APC government who came to power with lies has ended up creating so much hardship for people of the FCT and Nigeria at large.
