Tajimi community loses royal father as Kogi Assembly Speaker mourns
The speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Aliyu Umar Yusuf has expressed sadness over the death of the Oba of Tajimi Community in Oworo Kingdom, Oba Joseph Olorunfemi Ilubaje.
Rt Honourable Umar stated this is in a press statement signed and made available to journalists in Lokoja by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed.
The speaker noted that the death of the traditional ruler is not only a loss to Tajimi people, but also Kogi State and the entire country as he was a committed community leader who brought greatness to Tajimi Community since his reigns began.
“Beyond being a community leader in Tajimi, Late Oba Ilubaje was a father to me personally because of the way he took my aspiration for Kogi State House of Assembly as a candidate and his continued prayers for my success,” the speaker stressed.
The Speaker further applauded the deceased Royal Father for the peace, tranquility and development that was witnessed in Tajimi under his reign, noting that the development has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.
He therefore prayed to Almighty God to grant the late Royal Father eternal rest in God’s bosom, and urged the family and people of Tajimi Community to join him in prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.
