Kogi State Governor, Alhaji and Yahaya Adoza Bello, was among the 5 distinguished Nigerians honoured at the recent 4th combined convocation and conferment of fellowships at the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja Kogi State.

Reacting to the recent honour bestowed on the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Chairman, Kogi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale described it as a well deserved honour considering his impacts both on education and all sectors.

The Kogi youth chairman noted that the honour do come to them as a surprised because the young governor had emphatically served diligently through out his 8 years, praying God to continue to bless, protect and grant him more strength, long life and prosperity in order to continue to serve his people and humanity in general.

Governor Yahaya Bello was honoured in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth of the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.

Other deserving recipients included Alhaji Isa Ozi Salami, OFR, Barrister Umoru Jimoh, Chairman of IHS (Nigeria) Limited, Professor Idris M. Bugaje, Executive Secretary of NBTE, and Barrister Moses Okezie-Okafor, the DG Research and Development, Kogi State, acknowledged for his diligent contributions to the New Direction administration.

Comrade Ojodale who is a guest to the Polytechnic community led some executive members of the NYCN to the program in solidarity with the Kogi State Governor, who received a fellowships of the citadel.

Global Times Nigeria report that the event brought together people from all walks of life, and this bring to end of academic journey of the institution for those who thave diligently met the requirements approved by the board from 2013/2014 to 2022/2023 academic sessions.

A total of 7,653 students graduated with National Diploma (ND), while 4,427 also graduated with Higher National Diploma (HND) in diverse disciplines.

Speaking on the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja Rector’s unprecedented achievements, Dr. Salisu Usman Ogbo, Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale said he has brought honour to the institution, State and Igala Nation, urging him sustain the tempo.

Ojodale said since Ogbo came on board the institution have completely changed from old order to new order.

According to him, this was achieved as a result of purposeful leadership of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello who prioritize education as one of top cardinal principles of the new direction administration.

He assured Dr. Ogbo of youth support and loyalty to enable him do more just as he is known for doing the best.
