Nasarawa NYCN hails Gov Sule’s Supreme Court victory, urges him to focus on delivery governance

The leadership of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Nasarawa State has congratulated Governor Abdullahi A Sule on his victory at the Supreme Court, which head on Friday, 19th January, 2024

The Supreme Court had affirmed Engr Abdullahi A Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the valid winner of the Nasarawa State Gubernatorial election that held on March 18, 2023, a victory that was “truly deserved.”

In a statement issued by Comr Jaafar M Loko, NYCN Chairman of the NYCN, said the victory was an attestation to Governor Sule’s “doggedness and sacrifice for building and strengthening the art of Governance in our state and nations democracy over the years in our collective interest.”

With the legal distractions now over, NYCN has implicit faith in the Governor’s “capacity and ability to help us build and steer the Nasarawa State of our collective dreams and aspirations.” an atmosphere that will provide young people with the opportunity to advance their potentials.

We therefore call on the Governor to maintain relationship and sustain the existing eternal peace with critical stakeholders in the state, especially our former Governors, Sen Abdullahi Adamu and Sen Umaru Tanko Al-makura, our Assembly members both at National and state levels as well as traditional rulers and the Youth leaders for the continuation of Good Governance and accelerated developments in our state.

We equally implored Governor Abdullahi A Sule to extend invitation to the oppositions and their crannies to join hands with him in building a prosperous Nasarawa State that will be more conducive for us and the generations to come. The elections and litigations are over, it’s time for us to come together as united entity for the sake of our state. Nasarawa is the only state we can call our own, we must not do anything contrary in whatever disguise to jeopardize the existing peace and stability we are enjoying.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, who doubles as the Chairman of the North Central Governors Forum, led governors from Benue and Niger States, to commiserate with their Plateau State counterpart Caleb Mutfwang in Jos on Tuesday.
