Kogi lawmaker Otokiti Zakariya pays constituents’ 2024 JAMB fees.

Honourable Otokiti Al-Hassan Zakariya is the Kogi State House Of Assembly Member representing Okehi State Constituency.
Otokiti has extended his educational support programme to those who have obtained their secondary school certificate but unable to pay for Joint Matriculation Examinations (JAMB) due to lack of finance to further their education.
This significant sigh of relief was part of the lawmaker commitment to ensure some of his electioneering campaign promises to constituents are attended to.
The Okehi lawmaker who is of the All Progressives Congress, APC, used the opportunity to thanked the outgoing Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for all the support he has given him and the people of Okehi state constituency.Bello commissions another Kogi State Varsity, Kabba, matriculate first set of 1200 Students.
He equally drum support for the new incoming Governor to be headed by Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, assuring that same support given to Alhaji Yahaya Bello will be replicated to Alhaji Ododo in order to succeed.
A statement by Comr Suleiman Ganiyu, the Project Coordinator facilitating the programme for the lawmaker revealed that there are two registration centres and where the applicants were register include, Eika-Ohizenyi, Abobo, Eika Adagu, Federal College Education and Camp II were registered at S&J JAMB CBT registration centre, opposite First Bank, Okene.
According to the project coordinator, those from Ihima, Obangede, Okaito, Usungwe and Uhuodo areas were all captured in S & J JAMB CBT Centre situated at Ihima Community Secondary School, Obeiba.
He said concerted effort is on the pipeline by the lawmaker to register more Okehi origin residing in other places.
He said Honourable Otokiti Al-Hassan Zakariya has constituted a Central Planning Committee alongside sub-committees in Okehi local government area to collate and screen prospective applicants for the exercise which culminated into a successful process.Kogi Prohibits Traditional Rulers from issuing consent letters to miners.
It said the lawmaker’s aim was to assist the less privileged in his constituency to further their education, adding that special attention would be paid to orphans, indigent applicants, the vulnerable or physically persons.
Some beneficiaries who do not hide their feelings thanked the lawmaker for coming to their aid and assured of support and loyalty.
