Bello pays JAMB registration fee for 15,033 Students in Kogi
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has fulfilled his pledged towards ensuring free education and had paid for JAMB registration fee for 15,033 students across public schools in the State.
Hon. Wemi Jones, the State Commissioner For Education, Science and Technology disclosed on Tuesday during a press conference in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
The education commissioner noted with gratitude that the payment of JAMB forms by Governor Bello was part of the concerted effort and initiative of the free Education Policy of the new direction.
“Gov. Yahaya Bello has procured JAMB Forms for 15,033 Students of Public Schools Across the State”.
” Recalled that we paid over N497 million WAEC fees for 15,033 students late last year”.
“Payment of internal and external examination fees is an integral part of the free education policy of the government”.
” The State Government has a bill to institutionalize this free exam fee policy is before the Kogi State House of Assembly”, Hon. Jones disclosed.
The Commissioner described the commitment of the present administration to repositioned the education sector as unprecedented in the State history, praised Gov Bello for building a solid future that would stand the test of time.
