End of tenure: Outgoing Kogi State Deputy Governor, David Edward Onoja express gratitude to Kogites for support

Chief David Edward Onoja, the outgoing Kogi State Deputy Governor has expressed gratitude to God and the good people of Kogi State for the support he has enjoined over the years, calling on them to render same support to the incoming new administration of Ahmed Usman Ododo and Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo.
Chief Onoja who formerly served as Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello in the first tenure from 2016 to 2019 player pivotal role which led to the success of the administration.
Global Times Nigeria report that Chief Onoja became a deputy governor after his successor, Achuba was impeached by the Kogi State house of assembly over gross misconduct and abuse of office.
Below were Chief Onoja’s message to Kogites.
With all gratitude, I address you for the last time today as your Deputy Governor. It has been a privilege of a lifetime to have served you for the last four years. The remarkable journey has had a lasting impact on my life and I want to thank you for the opportunity and experience.
Those who have had the privilege of serving our dear State in different capacities owe their successes, prayers and support to you all, I urge you to extend the same to the new Administration of His Excellencies Alhaji Usman Ododo and Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo to ensure they succeed.
I reserve special thanks to you all for your support, compassion and understanding, I am eternally grateful.
