Kogi gets new EXCO as Ododo inaugurate 18 Commissioners with a charge to be honest, transparent.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has inaugurated his cabinet with a charge to the commissioners to discharge their duties without fear or favour and see themselves as servants and not leaders of the people.
Administering oath of office and allegiance on the 18 Commissioners as members of the State Exercise Council on Wednesday at the Government House, Lokoja, the Governor stated that they were carefully selected based on competence and ability to deliver, and therefore have no any reason to fail in the tasks ahead.
“We are expected to hit ground running for a new era in the development of the state. You should be ready to discharge your duties creditably without fear or favour because it is our collective responsibilities to move the state forward.
“The immediate past administration led by Governor Yahaya Bello, has laid down a formidable foundation for us to follow and it is expected of us to consolidate on those achievements to further move the state to enviable height.
“I sincerely urge all of you to give your best, work harmoniously as a team and as the Governor of the state, I will be honest, transparent and with probity to render our selfless services to Kogi people to justify the mandate given to us during the November 11, 2023 governorship election”, Ododo said.
The Governor appreciated the electorate and relevant stakeholders for their support before, during and after the election, urging them to be united in the interest for a peaceful coexistence. “Kogi state is blessed with enormous potentials and we can only harness them if we are living as one indivisible entity. This administration is your government and you should all pray for the success of this administration.

Hon. Salami Ozigi Deedat, who retained the portfolio as Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, who spoke on behalf of other appointees, expressed appreciation to the Governor for giving the opportunity to serve under the current administration.
“We will be loyal, obedient and transparent in all our activities as members of the state executive council” he promised.
