Edo 2024: Shaibu has lost influence, no longer effective in making positive impact — Omorodion

….Says Ighodalo will win and serve Edo people diligently.

Director of Media, Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie’s Diaspora Support Movement, United Kingdom branch, Mr. Omorodion Kadiri, has says former Deputy Governor in Edo State, Philip Shaibu, has lost influence and is no longer effective in making a positive impact.

Kadiri who described Shaibu as a political liability, whose actions or words are now harmful to his new political direction or cause, and his presence may even be seen as a hindrance to progress.

The impeached Deputy Governor have decline in popularity, controversial actions, or a shift in public opinion will definitely consume him.

He noted that Philip Shaibu, the impeached Deputy Governor of Edo State has lost his political relevance after his impeachment last month by the State House of Assembly.

Mr. Omorodion said Philip Shaibu has been a political liability to Governor Godwin Obaseki having lost all the elections conducted in his polling unit, ward, local government area, the entire three Etsako local government areas, as well as the six local government areas of Edo North Senatorial District since he betrayed and parted ways with his benefactor, Senator Adams Oshiomhole.

“The recent claims that Philip Shaibu is still causing troubles for Governor Obaseki and his team are nothing but a desperate attempt to distract voters from the real issues. Shaibu’s impeachment and replacement by Mr. Marvelous Omobayo Godwin as Deputy Governor put an end to his controversial tenure.

With the election just around the corner on September 21st, 2024, it’s time to focus on the future of Edo State. Barrister Asue Ighodalo and Barrister Osarodion Ogie offer a fresh vision for the state’s progress, and their candidacy represents a new chapter in Edo’s political history.
