Kogi State Polytechnic Management, headed by it’s Rector, Dr. Ogbo Salisu Usman has debunked the alleged invasion of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja by gunmen.

In a statement signed by the Rector, Doctor, Salisu Ogbo Usman, said the attention of the Management of the State Polytechnic, has been drawn to the malicious rumour making rounds the town that kidnappers have invaded the institution.

It stated that the rumour was the handiwork of those who do not mean well for the state considering the recent emotional turmoil that accompanied the recent attack at Confluence University of Technology, Osara.

The statement emphasised that the campuses of the Polytechnic in Lokoja and Itakpe are calm and peaceful after the usual academic activities on that day.

It urged parents and guardians to remain calm noting that the Management of the institution in collaboration with the State Government are fully in charge of the security apparatus of the institution.

The statement urged them to disregard the rumour of the security breach.
