Kogi TUC appeals to FG to look into plight of civil servants, upward review of wage
The Vice Chairman Kogi State Chapter of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Mr Obajemu Babatunde Samuel has appealed to the Federal Government to look into the plight of civil servants and commence the upward review of the living wage.
Mr Obajemu stated this in Lokoja shortly before the monitoring of the level of compliance of health workers to the warning strike.
He said the embodiment of the organised labour is expected to comply to the directive in view of the economic crises that has affected all strata.

Mr Obajemu however assured that health workers due to its peculiarity as an essential services will operate skeletal services particularly in emergency cases.
The Union leader urged government to always avert industrial actions which is the last option to press home the demands of Workers.
Similarly, the state Chairman, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Doctor Lawal Mohammed said the strike was needless if government has taken proactive steps to avert it.
He urged the Federal Government to comply with the demands of Labour in view of inflation and economic realities of the country.
