Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, immediate past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has just been appointed into the governing council and precisely, Chairman Board, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State by the President and Commander in chief of Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu.
Rt. Hon Balarabe will be heading a Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State as Chairman governing council of the institution with other council members
As a man with vast legislative experience and expertise in governance, Rt. Hon Balarabe is poised to deliver on the mandate assigned him by the President Bola Tinubu.
Rt. Hon Balarabe was elected 3 times and became a speaker 3 times in Nasarawa State and had judiciously used his office to attract meaningful development to his constituency, Toto Local Government Area and Nasarawa State as a whole.
The former Speaker, is also a renowned philanthropist, who mostly attended to issues bordering his people in terms of humanitarian needs. He has recently provided succour to IDPs camp in Toto LG, he said the humanitarian aid was provided to cater for victims of the Bassa Kwomu militias invasion to start a new life.

Aside from these gesture, Rt. Hon Balarabe has empowered his constituents with items worth millions of naira, distributed cars, gave scholarship grant to indigenous students and facilited several political appointments among others.

He was honoured as best Speaker in the whole north central Nigeria by the Presidency, first ever Speaker from Nasarawa State to be appointed as African representative in the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).
He was also a Vice Chairman North Central of Nigeria Conference of Speaker of State’s legislators.
He awarded by the late Sadauna foundation as best performing Speaker from the Northern Nigeria.
Under his reign as Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, the Nasarawa Assembly was rated high as 2nd best State house of assembly in terms of performance: oversight function and number of bills.
Rt. Hon Balarabe is widely travelled and had visited about 12 different countries across the world.
