Council Elections: Latimore hosts Ethiope East campaign council media team in Kokori
…Says Ogedegbe cruising to landslide victory, commends party elders, leaders
Chairman of Media and Publicity Directorate, Ethiope East Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has commended the efforts of members of the team, and urged them to keep the tempo of intense publicity from now till election day in July.
Oghenesivbe made the appeal on Sunday June 16, when he hosted the team at his private residence in Kokori, Agbon Kingdom, in Ethiope East LGA, saying that the party’s chairmanship candidate, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe has no rival in the local government in terms of capacity to do the job, integrity, popularity and experience.
Oghenesivbe, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, DSOCB, emphasized the need for members of the media and publicity Directorate to showcase the achievements of the state party leader and governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori,.
He pointed out that there is direct connection between the governor and the LGA Chairmanship candidate, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, who recently adopted the MORE Agenda of the governor as his agenda for the socioeconomic and infrastructure development of the local government.
He also commended the Chairman of the campaign council in the LGA, Hon Felix Erhimedafe, for leading a result oriented campaign team determined to ensure landslide victory for PDP and her candidates in the forthcoming local government council elections in the LGA
“You have all done well in multifaceted ways to ensure far reaching and impactful publicity for our party, the chairmanship candidate Chief Augustine Ogedegbe and the Councillorship candidates in all Dsiec wards.
“We need to keep the tempo in the media space from now till election day in the month of July. You have all demonstrated capacity and competence in the the media space, especially across social media platforms. Keep it up.
“Our Chairmanship candidate, Ogedegbe is the only shinning light in the LGA as far as electioneering campaigns and winning strategies is concerned. He shall win deservingly because it is crystal clear that he has no rival in the LGA.
“Opposition parties are not ready, obviously not prepared for the council elections in Ethiope East LGA, and across the state, but we in PDP especially the media and publicity team must continue to penetrate deeper in our assigned responsibilities.
“The LGA campaign Council Chairman, Hon Felix Erhimedafe is doing extremely well, leading a vibrant and experienced team of party elders, leaders, stakeholders, women and youths. He deserve our commendation, and we must continue to work hard to leverage on the campaign council’s positive efforts.
“Our party leaders, elders and stakeholders including; Chief Bernard Edewor, Chief Tony Oboroh, Chief Sunday Onoriode and several others, have inspired the campaign team, and we must therefore compliment their efforts through massive publicity in the traditional and social media platforms.
“Chief Ogedegbe is a trustworthy servant leader who had demonstrated commitment and readiness to advance Ethiope East LGA through the instrumentality of the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, the Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, JP.
“I can tell you for free that Chief Ogedegbe will not forget the contributions of the media team during his tenure as Council Chairman, hence you must of a necessity intensify your efforts in the media space,” Oghenesivbe assured.
Responding on behalf of the team, John Ochuko Oberhonobe expressed the team’s gratitude to Dr Latimore Oghenesivbe for hosting them, and for donating the sum of N100,000 towards phone data, for those present at the meeting, saying that the team will continue to carryout their assigned responsibilities without blemish.
He described the party’s Chairmanship candidate, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe as a team leader, philanthropist and a servant leader who had demonstrated capacity for leadership, transparency and accountability, noting that his victory at the polls is foreseeable.
