By Ogiemwonyi Osazuwa
The Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for Edo State Governorship election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has suffered another political black eyes ahead of September 21 poll as member of APC State Campaign Council and other APC chieftains resigned their APC membership in Orhionmwon Local Government.
The APC resignees, Hon Iweka Ukpere, who was a Member of APC State Campaign Council and former Vice Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, and APC Apex Leader in Igbanke West, cited the internal crisis rocking the All Progressive Congress, APC in Edo State as one of the reasons for quitting the party.
Similarly, Mr Eric Omoregie, APC Apex leader in Ugboko Ward, also made his resignation letter public from the sinking APC in Orhionmwon Local Government Area. He laminated APC misrule at the Federal level which has brought untold hardship to missions of Nigerians as one of the reasons for dumping the party.
Their resignations from the APC has further proved the political deft of Orhionmwon Local Government Council Chairman, Hon Newman Ugiagbe who is working tirelessly to empty Orhionmwon APC members and bring the entire Orhionmwon people to the governing PDP party in Edo State as he continues to galvanize massive support for the PDP Candidate Dr Asue Ighodalo and his running mate Barr Osarodion Ogie to win Orhionmwon convincingly.
