An award winning Egbira music icon, Halima Gimba, popularly known as B-Lami, (Zinariya Waka Girinya chiefdom) in Kogi State, has expressed gratitude to some prominent Egbira leaders, stakeholders and traditional rulers who out of their tight schedule converged at Abaji area council in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to support the launching of her newly released music Album, title Egbira Bo Onya.
Amb. Halima B-Lami, a native of Mozum Kingdom in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State commended the Egbira people for upholding unity which she said signify strength and togetherness.
She said Egbira leaders home and abroad deserved accolades for their various contributions and growth to their fatherland.
While presenting an award to some Egbira leaders, the young musical icon congratulated the recipients for their contributions to the growth and development of Ohiku Nation such as posthumous award to Late Major general Muhammed Chris Alli, former President Ohiku Egbira Descendants Union, OEDU, Dr Charles Jaguns Kayode, chairman Ezi int’l USA, Dr Shaibu Umar Oricha DG Government House, Kogi State, Distinguish Senator Barr Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, Engr. Muhammad Abubakar Bashir Gegu, Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural resources, Hon Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, Nasarawa State House of Assembly member representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency among others
She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to fellow artiste Mudely, Blinkz, Musampa, Onotu Egbira, Asabe Iganuma, Alhaji Sule Fancy and many others for their contribution to her latest song, “Egbira Obo Onya.”
In a special appreciation statement she issued and made available to Newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State capital Thursday, June 20, 2024, B-Lami shared a video of her new music where she and her friends dancing to the latest track while inviting fans to reflect on the significance of the word ‘Egbira Bo Onya’.
According to B-Lami, the newly launched Album holds significance value and will go along way in maintaining peace, unity and development in Egbira nation.
B-Lami in her message, showered praises on prominent Egbira leaders, stakeholders and traditional rulers for gifting her handsomely and their words of encouragement during the just concluded occasion, adding that it’s amazing.
She also used the medium to honoured some Egbira leaders both death and alive who distinguished themselves to the service of Egbira nation.
While expressing her gratitude, B-Lami appreciates Barr Yakubu Galadima, a legal luminary for bringing the Egbira people together and sponsoring the revival of Itochi (Ogidi)

It would be recalled that a legal luminary, Barr. Yakubu Galadima had sponsored a first edition knitting of Egbira native costume known as Itochy (Ogidi) where prizes were presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners.
Prizes ranging from 300,000, 200,000 and 100,000 was given during the competition in an effort to encourage participants.
Barr. Galadima, a native of Toto local government vowed to established knitting institute for massive production and creating job for young Egbira entrepreneurs.
The event held at Ona Abaji place and hundreds of people from all walks of life graced the event.
